I would say the four things you need are confidence, creativity, hard work and commitment. You don’t have to have a high I. Q. if you have those qualities. I know people who became rich by attracting rich mentors and charging thousands to teach their ideas to others, I know people who makes over $300 an hour painting with only mediocre artistry skills by marketing their work as therapeutic creations and I know people who make $300 an hour modelling clothes in front of a store with only average looks and short height. I also know a guy who made $1,000 a day as a DJ while studying law at a college. If you can’t think of a way to make money - your not confident and courageous and creative enough.

By not spending money. Thats a first. Im not talking about being stingy... im saying dont buy stuff you dont need with money you dont have. My in laws live in debt to their eyeballs, buy new cars on loans every year, take out equity loans for remodels... and aim for a rich life but live with zero savings and always argue over money.

I make six figures, have tons in savings and investments... live in a modest house with older fixtures and I drive a 32 year old car with roll down windows worth 300 bucks.

Rich... is a relative term.

Mostly it's luck. We see some people that became wealthy by working hard in some field -- they become movie stars or pop music stars or they create a highly successful business. But we don't see all the other people working just as hard who don't become wealthy. For every Adele there are hundreds or thousands of people writing songs, playing in local clubs, maybe getting some tours, but never getting the break that lets them fill concert halls. For every person making a living on stage or screen there are hundreds of actors working day jobs and going to auditions.

Work smart to get a high salary from some company with a large budget to acquire capital. In your free time, work hard so that you don't have to pay other people for hard labor. For example an electrician will gauge you $2,000 an hour just because you're a lazy fuck and not willing to get your hands dirty. Put in that sweat equity on your own time, so that you don't leak wealth like a sieve. Invest your capital in tangible investments that produce cash flow so that you can increase your capital.

If you can earn money while you sleep, that’s a good start. Essentially, passive income is the fastest way for most people to earn more money. Rental properties, dividend paying stocks, distributions from businesses, etc. borrowing money at low rates and being smart with investments is an intelligent way to begin. And always pay your taxes.
