I just had a blizzard where i live. I think we got almost 30 inches of snow. I have to dig out tomorrow.

I measured 29 inches of snow today. It was light fluffy snow and was not too hard to remove.

30 inches of snow would be wonderful. People around here think 12 inches is a lot and I say at least two feet to be a lot.

I have a ATV with a plow, makes my driveway easy to clean and fun at the same time. You should post some pictures of it, like you did a month ago of you lake house was it?

I love blizzards too, especially if I have a fire going but I also do not mind being out in them.

i have a 30 inches is it deep enough.

My experience of blizzards have been more work related, working outside either clearing runways or taxiways, using pickaxe to clear ice off an aircraft parking area lol.

Also as a driver for mountain rescue team.

Northern Scotland in winter is fun and also Northern Norway.

we got a bunch of it as well with drifts, but not that much. winds were high.

hoping the winds calm down so clearing the driveway is easier.

blowers dont' work so well when it's that deep, don't know how you clear that without a truck.

I bought a monster of a snow blower. It will throw the snow 30 feet and it will go through snow that is taller that the snow blower chute. It was a little more than I wanted to spend but it is worth it on days like today.

that's a beast, sounds like you need it. I'd wait til winds calm down else make sure blows down wind. My blower was maxed out.
run fuel stabilizer and drain fuel out at end of season or else doing carb repair work next year...

@lightbulb27 One of the guys at work told me that fuel stabilzer worked good so I did not drain it like I usually do. It was the only year I had problems.

Not any more. When I was a kid, living in the Northeast, a snow belt off Lake Ontario, I liked blizzards and heavy snowstorms. It meant no school. As I got older, before I moved to warmer climes, I realized that lots of snow was not fun because I had to shovel it and drive in it.

Are you near Long Island? My sister got 24 inches. Yes, I do like to watch blizzards from the inside, but certainly not to drive in them or to shovel the aftermath. I come from a place where blizzards were common in the northeast. No school, the best part. Coming in the next day, the worst part. But bring out the hot chocolate when it's happening. It can be very cozy.

We don't get much snow anymore in the UK and we never really got blizzards even when we did get snow. I do love snow though and its one of the things I loved about the US, the amount of snow and how fast it comes down. I don't envy you having to clear that lot though.

I love where I live! It snows a few times a year for a day maybe two- and each-time 3" to no more than 8" The roads are completely cleared within a day. So yes I like the snow but not dig out blizzard!

Were in Pennsylvania and can get up to 1 inch an hour with blizzards
and our last blizzard was Feb 5, 2010, and it was so bad the electric
went out and it didn't come on 3 days later so this bothers me

I don’t live in blizzard country anymore but loved them during the winter. I miss them as well as snow days locked inside. Don’t miss the digging out part as much

That's enough show--10 inches. We are getting anywhere between 5 to 7 today--and its so icy. I hate for motorists to have to travel on highways during this. I don't know if they prepare the highways with salt here in Ohioi.
