How can I live in my car HELP?

my lease ends March 1st, I had told owner I’m giving her the keys by 3rd wk. No owner is replying me back and most want high credit or charge 3 deposits. I applied to one place last week but it got rented today. I only have one appointment tomorrow but like always owner will say he’ll need interview more people & it’s not available til 25th. i sent texts to 30 places already & no luck.😔I plan rent storage next week & move in my car. Sleep there. Is it safe sleep inside a car with windows up? I won’t find an owner to accpet me give me the keys.😓I’m crying. Everything is in boxes the room is halfway empty

Don’t leave till Mar 1st. Doesn’t matter what you said, legally you don’t have to leave till your lease ends. Even if I’m wrong (which I’m not), by the time she’s able to file an eviction complaint and get a hearing in court it’ll be well after Mar 1.

Yea she won’t get mad if I stay til like the 31st. But I want fine place before 31st 😥

That sucks. I'm sorry to hear that this is happening to you, as it does many people. I lived in my car for a short time. How long you can do it depends on where you live. If it's warm and safe you can do it much easier than cold and dangerous obviously. Have you checked into just renting a room, like being someone's roommate?

How about staying in some cheap motel for a little while? Just in case there’s a few days or a week you have to wait between leases.

Do you have any friends or at least work friends? Maybe you can crash on their couch for a week.

January the guy that accepted me was charging $3100 to move in and I had only $2500

Keep contacting them over and over until they give a yes or no answer. Once they say no then tell them you are open to other options they may know about. What sites do you use? Hotpads worked for me.

People do it all the time year round. There are YouTube videos on how to organize your car and air mattress to use. I've thought about buying a van living in it and traveling the USA

Would be better off sleeping in a climate controlled storage unit. The tricky part of living in your car is finding a safe place to sleep. I wouldn't without a firearm. You will want a hotplate with an adapter to use in your car.

been there done that you need to find a safe parking lot without anybody knowing and make sure no cops around when you do you don't need that shit on to deal with
