What have or what are going to spend your tax return on?

I filed and received my returns early in the year, so I got my Federal tax-return quite a while ago (while my State return was finally deposited to my bank a few hours ago). I'm keeping my money in savings. I would have liked to convert it from the inflation-prone everyday-use Federal Reserve Notes (F. R. N.) U. S. dollars to U. S. Mint-issued legal-tender precious-metal American Eagle dollars for long-term savings, but my emergency-fund needed replenishment. Oh, well. (You win this time, Washington!)

A tip I learned back in my university's Economics (& Accounting) classes: Only keep in fiat currency what you're expecting to spend. Long-term savings you don't expect to suddenly spend in the foreseeable future should be in other assets. The specifics of said assets (stocks, bonds, gold, silver, land, etc.) and/or the best mix thereof can be debated, but it's generally agreed that choosing to keep funds in common-use currency is just asking the specific currencies' issuing-government to inflate/confiscate away your buying-power.

And yes, the I. M. F. paper posted literally PRESCRIBES to governments across the world "FINANCIAL REPRESSION" AS A MEANS OF WRINGING-OUT BUYING-POWER FROM THE MASSES to pay for their massive, debts from irresponsible deficit-spending!

Yes, I hate the deficit if I was president, I would put a tariff on all foreign products coming in here and put it all to pay off the deficit the deficit is going to be our downfall as a country
