Lots of Democrats are outraged about DOGE going after USAID. While I don't think it should be completely disbanded, what I do know is that it started out with good intentions but got bastardized and "re-appropriated" for many radical left causes—like many government institutions in recent years. Below is what your tax dollars have funded via USAID:

• Serbia – $1.5 million to advance DEI in workplaces and business communities.
• Ireland – $70,000 for the production of a DEI-themed musical.
• Colombia – $47,000 for a transgender opera.
• Peru – $32,000 for a transgender-focused comic book.

• West and Central Africa – $1 million to support French-speaking LGBTQ+ groups.
• Ecuador – $20,600 for a drag show.
• Caribbean Region – $3,315,446 for the "Being LGBTQ in the

• Slovakia – $80,000 for an LGBTQ+ community center in Bratislava.
• Albania – $16,500 to foster a united and equal queer-feminist discourse in society.

Just FYI I would NOT be okay if tax dollars were being used for the exact opposite agenda. For example even though I have Christian beliefs I would not want tax payer dollars being used for bible studies abroad via USAID.

That comes to a total cost of $44,124,546 (if we assume this is a one year total, which I’m sure it isn’t, but it would only hurt my point and I’m still willing to do the exercise as is).

I’m going to divide that number by 153.8M, the number of Americans who paid income tax in 2022, just for a rough estimate of annual taxpayers. Unemployment was higher then than this past year, so again, this will be a hit against my argument, but I’m still that confident that my point will still stand.

Actually the Pentagon is likely next. I have actually read a few of Vivek ramaswamy’s books and he goes into great detail about the abuse of power and waste of the fourth branch of government: The Administrative State. The pentagon wasn’t exempt from his criticism and he’s been assigned major involvement with DOGE.

I am guessing that the GOP isn’t going after the pentagon right away because it’s bad optics to audit defense spending. Which is admittedly very bias and partisan. But it’s coming.

Also love or hate Elon Musk but I’ve heard estimates that he has already saved American’s at least $800+ billion dollars with the DOGE initiative.
