I asked a semi sorta this question bit ago but now I get to answer it!! Big Wheels!!! Yes that is me with my big wheel!
Cutie ☺️
i need a new big wheel yeh!!!
There was always that one kid in the neighborhood who had the Green Machine while the rest of us had big wheels. Rode 'em 'til the wheels fell apart.
we used to skid and get holes in the wheels
Yeah, with that nifty hand brake on the side. That was the best part.
A Skip It and my rollerblades. I would skip it for hours and then switch to rollerblades.
Wowww nostalgia 😌
Yesss! Oddly enough, we had ribbon dancer batons on Easter!
Thanks for the mho!

My remote control car and my sky dancer
He-Man and G. I. Joe were my two big ones. I wasn’t as into the Transformers for some reason. In some senses, they were the coolest toy of the three, what with all the titular transforming they did, but I don’t know…other kids at school would bring them, I occasionally watched the cartoon (commercial) for them, but I never caught the bug. Probably just exceeded my bandwidth/my parents’ funds after He-Man and G. I. Joe interests were satisfied. Maybe I just found robots less relatable than humanoid characters, I don’t know.
But anyway, yeah, I had a lot of fun with those He-Man and G. I. Joe toys. I’d get them as gifts or a reward, I was able to beef up my collection at yard sales I’d happen upon, etc. And there were all the cool castles for He-Man, and military vehicles for G. I. Joe, beyond just the figurines. I still have most of that stuff in a trunk of my old toys down cellar. Every few years I dig through it and end up down there for hours just looking through all that stuff, old sports cards, all kinds of mementos I had kept, etc. Some people call it hoarding, lmao, but those people just don’t appreciate nostalgia😂
BARBIES
I Rarely got new ones. Usually handy downs from goodwill many naked and many times missing their hair. I always said to myself as a child my children will have new barbies! When I became a mom I couldn't wait til my daughter's 2nd birthday. I gave her a brand new Barbie. I took it out the box and excitedly waited for her reaction... I waited my whole life for this moment... She frawns turns her head sideways snatches the barbie by the hair and flings it over her shoulder. In a blink of an eye she reaches for a 50 cent ball some body else gave her and takes off gleefully never looking back at the doll. My daughter never played with barbies. She detested getting them as gifts. Oh well c'est la vie 🤣
ever dress as a barbie? lol
Everyday I take pride in my appearance lol 😆
wish i could see hehe ;)
Mego action figures for me. Any series, any theme... superheroes, Planet of the Apes, Star Trek, Super-Knights... whatever. Eight inch figures with cloth clothing, had cool playsets, female figures [which are usually the most collectible/worth the most today] as well as Thor and Conan with 'real' hair... all held together by rubber bands.
Happy to say that a few companies are releasing figures (DC Superheroes, Star Trek) in Mego's image today and I admit I bought quite a few of these, which now that I've counted adds up to sixty figures, from original '70s manufacture to recent ones, including two custom figures (Dr. Doom and Dr. Druid - made by individuals/never offered by toy companies - some of these are amazing).
Dare I say they're all on display on shelves in my living room? Yeah, not/never married, but my ex thought they were cool too, bless her heart. My adorable two-year old niece will get them when I eventually bite the dust.
Would it be considered a toy to go in the backyard in the sand, and use a simple soup can to dig a huge hole like 3-5 feet deep? Did that a lot with my brother and sister.
If so, then a soup can was my favorite toy. I mean after we had the hole dug and built little houses around, castles or whatever, then I could stuff barbies and all into the little dirt houses. I kind of would dig holes in the side after we got down far enough and make little side places too.
I'm pretty sure some old things are still buried back there... and the best part is when we were all done we'd flood it with irrigation water.
We had a canal out back full of water all summer, so what could be fun too is building a cheap model navy ship, then using fireworks to simulate it being destroyed, catching fire, burning and sinking... in the water. In that case, fire would be my favorite toy and still is.
Barbies, Legos (medium size), Marble Sets, Board Games (Checkers, Life, Candyland, Twister), playdoh, Hotwheelz, Mr Potato Head, Pollypocket, and Little People. I would still play with any of those and have a closet full. I likely won't pull then out until i have kids of my own to introduce them to. I refuse to give up my fave toys and have had them since childhood
Also Bop It, my barbie stove/cash register, supersoaker waterguns, Litebrite, slap bracelet, beyblade, hungry hippos, etch a sketch, and talking bowling pins
Bionicles were pretty cool
I had several action figures of super heroes, villains, anti-heroes of comic books that I enjoyed playing with as well.
Trading card games like Pokémon and yugioh I also played quite religiously.
Bakugan.
Hot Wheelz
A bunch of stuff, I didn’t really have a favorite.
Legos.
Just let your imagination of crazy for them, I made some pretty cool things with them, from cars, guns and houses to WWE style weapons that I'd combine with action figures.
If I lived alone and had action figures, I'd probably still do that. 😂
Littlest pet shop. I collected over 200 of those toys and sold them for a lot more when I was 15 😄
Oh my. My nieces collected so many of those when they were little lol
I made $700 ontop of how much each toy cost for those 200 toys. I didn’t realise but a lot of them were rare/collector items 🙂

I never had cars as a kid but now I collect Matchbox cars lol.
As a young kid I played with hot wheels, Lego and barbie/action men and playdough. As I got older I moved onto Bratz, shoe fairies, and more artsy stuff.
you played em all its seems lol
Was very spoilt child from extended family
Barbie, Hot wheels and a teddy bear. Damn, I feel so old now. I want to go back and become a child again, lol.
yes/ memories ;)
Play People, now called Playmobil.
Ancient toys lol
Thanks for asking this lovely question,
My answer is an RC car.
It's because I loved ff series and all cars so I managed to have a pocket money budget and purchased it by myself.
My parents were surprised by finding such patience in me.
So they took me to the carnival the next day!😂
Parents are awesome.
A bajillion hot wheels. I loved those as a Young Bloth and my parents did too because they weren’t at all expensive. I remember I also had a pterosaur figure (I think it was a Geosternbergia) with metal wire in the wings. It was very cool but smelt weird
Imaginext castles and pirates.
I’d build castles with dungeons, secret tunnels/rooms and have armies of knights/kings/wizards/monsters etc.
I’d have pirates on ships searching through caves for treasure with an erupting volcano.
Oh, don't make me think about Toys'R'Us Lol
I used to love puzzles (well I still do Lol) and teddy bears. I was never a fan of Barbies and other dolls.
I liked Barbie’s, cuddly toys, the typical girl stuff, but I also loved playing w/ Lego’s! I just loved building things… (that my brother usually broke, smashed, destroyed!)
I loved Barbies and Cabbage Patch dolls. If I knew they'd be worth money now, I wouldn't have given them away! I had a lot of Ty Beanie Babies and Pokémon cards too, but I gave those away also.
That isn't lego in the picture! It some knock of brand. So clearly substandard quality. But lego was and still is my favorite toy. I really don't see game consoles as toys.
from your options, it was G. I. Joe to play with friends... or Legos to play on my own
but my true favorite from childhood... was construction´s mounds of sand... lol
Depends on my age but I went from batman and street sharks, to Godzilla and jurrasic park, to wcw/now, to Dragonball z, to Yu-Gi-Oh cards, to strictly video games.
Play Doh, Nerf, remote control car and Teddy bears. Barbie dolls aren't my thing. They are so pointy and creepy!
Micronauts were weird. Their joints bent both ways and I don't even think the toy had a backstory or, well, any story. The just suddenly... were.
Uuuuh... digimon? They transformed and shi... but i only got patamon. And then it became to difficult...
Well besides autobots and decepticons.. Turtles! They happened to be teenage and mutant ninjas.
they're still popular. in fact there's a few games coming out
Lego, Furby, Polly Pocket, Pokémon cards, My little pony, Tamagotchi, Nintendo GBA
A bunch of those little green army guys. I also had a bunch of little gray German soldiers.
Even though I played with a lot of dolls I loved Legos
Barbie and all of its accessories (shoes, ring, her dresses, her home, …)
My military tank toy
Fighter aircraft
mickey mouse doll
Iron man toy
Iron man toy? More info please, Selena.
I used to love polly pockets. Not sure if they still make those.
Super Hero dolls, I had Hulk, Spider-Man, Max Steel, a bunch of these.
But I spent most of my time playing videogames.
I love hot wheel as a kid and i have many hot wheel but i have give to other children cuz I don't have interest any more.
A & F
Lego & Mecanno (Erector) sets, more or less set me up for my career as an engineer
Probably hot wheels Bionicles that's about it i was mainly outside playing football whenever i could
Pretty much Lego the whole time until I outgrew toys. Then again it originates from my homeland.
Only toys I had growing up were hot wheels. Parents said I always loved making the cats vroom. Ah, those were the good days.
Since i said G...
Bionicle even if it's made by Lego
I loved barbies
To all the girls (well, maybe the older ones), did you ever do a Barbie/GI Joe adventure/shack up collaboration? Considering the GI Joes from the '60s and Barbie were about the same height, and especially if you had any around-the-same-age brothers/cousins, it seems kinda destiny-ish. I mean, you have to admit, Ken was no Joe. Like to me a random interaction between Ken and Joe is something like Joe in the garage wearing a tool bet & with sawdust in his hair 'cuz he's obviously building custom rack shelves, meanwhile Ken, standing in the doorway with his hands in his pockets and a sweater tied around his neck, is puzzled enough to ask Joe what he's building. "A piano".
Everything. I liked using different things.
