When I worked in the city they would always have a big Earth Day celebration at the local park. thousands would show up and celebrate and then everyone would go home leaving big piles of empty beer cans , coffee cups and dunkin donut bags.

We just saw a couple picking up trash along the road. Saw two men picking trash along the road yesterday.
Hubby and daughter have been picking up trash around the neighborhood whenever weather permits.
I taught a lesson to the class about earth day is everyday to the little kiddies before spring break.
I want to do other things like plant a seed by reusing little milk cartons. have the students wash their milk cartons, dry them. I would bring soil and seeds…
we used to do these fun things, with my new supervisor, we are not allow to do anything fun anymore…

Yeah it's ridiculous I can't stand the garbage. I need to volunteer more to help clean up. But even others just keep throwing trash everywhere it's an endless job

I used to participate in town cleanups, beach cleanups, planting trees, etc.

The Green New Deal and the massive amounts of masks and rubber gloves everywhere seems to have sucked my Earth Day enthusiasm out of me.

I'm saving trees this year by having less cash.

I planted a bunch of trees last week. I usually try to pland a few every year.

What kind and where did you plant them?

I find maple and oak seedlings and plant them in strategic places. I found one growing under the stairs on my deck. Ii was in the only spot where the sun was shining. I thought this clever little maple tree deserved to growup to be a big tree.

Maples grow fast (relatively speaking). I noticed a poplar tree planted itself next to my house in the shade. It seems like it grew overnight.

My wife planted a bunch of trees when my kids were little. She just dug them out of the woods. Now they are really big and drop a ton of leaves in the fall.

Cutting down a tree, catching rabbits, in a skull crusher, and dumping them dead into lake for the fish to eat…so I can catch them and slice and eat week later at feeding time
