Any dream experts on here that can tell me why I had 2 vivid dreams about my ex wife last night?

So I hardly ever remember my dreams and, I've never recalled dreaming about my ex wife for years, yet last night I had 2 vivid dreams about her, that are still very fresh in my memory.

The first was that we were taking a train journey, and had booked a private compartment. Before the train left we got off to go into a shop, and the train left without us. I woke up from this dream about 4 in the morning and when I went back to sleep I had to second dream about her.

The second dream was her coming to me to give me some money, and she seems stressed, she finally told me that she was ill and she was getting her affairs in order. That was mostly it then I woke up at about 6 am.

It just seems very strange I've very rarely have vivid dreams and as far as I know I've never dream about her since our divorce.

Anyone have any insight into this?
I'm normally pretty good with dream interpretation but this has me stumped.

The only thing I could come up with was that this signal the true end of our relationship, but that doesn't really ring true, as I dealt with the divorce years ago, and it was mutual anyway.

Sounds like you have some unfinished business together.

Train stations are a nexus, a waypoint to other places.

to me the first dream is about feeling a point or change is coming up with someone, not necessarily your ex wife.

it can also mean that there is a change of location to another place, couple with the 2nd one that could be potentially seen as death and moving on.

now that may not be about your ex wife, however your brain is using thst to show an ending, it could be the end of a friendship or relationship, or a change in one.

Other than that fuck knows lol.

Stations or stops are nexus and signify a change in life ahead.

the rest is a bit unknown as could be a lot of things.

Interesting, yes could ring true on a couple of points there. I'm potentially considering moving so I can do my PhD, but it's giving me some stress as I really don't want to leave my home here, and it would nean moving away from my current "partner" could well all be related.

With trains, it’s a very process driven thing, you are stuck to the rails once you make the decision there is no turning back.

The only places are stations, here the nexus sits.

The symbolism of your ex may simply mean a potential change or ending, remind you of what happened last time something ended.

I'm far from a dream expert but I find even an ex to whom I got engaged to be married and lived together pops in there from time to time in my dreams. She is as I remembered her the good way in those dreams. Yet I don't wake up missing her or anything. I moved on well over a decade ago.

Sometimes I think there was just so much emotional investment there that they're bound to pop up here and there in our dreams and thoughts. To me, it feels like another life. I don't recognize it anymore as my own.

Do you ever get that feeling like it was a totally different life in your case? Like I remember the memories with that ex but they seem no longer like I was there or even me. It's like years deleted from my life and left with only a recollection of something that no longer seems like it occurred in this life. I don't know how to explain it so well.

Yeah, it does seem like a lifetime ago even though it was only 5 years, so much has happened in my life since all for the better.

The more vivid a dream is usually means that it is a psychic dream. I dont have social media; and one night I had the most vivid dream watching a crush i had from 7 years ago. He was standing in a funeral home and he was crying profusely over someone he loved who died. The next day I googled him; and apparently the day of my dream was the day his brother was put to rest as he had randomly died a week earlier.

I've had precognitive dteams before, mainly when I was younger. It's startling how you can dream of something that has yet to happen, or an event you have no knowledge of.

Also, with the first dream, were you sotting opposite or next to her in the private compartment? What shop did you go into and what did you buy?

With the second dream, did the exchange of money seem fair and were you accepting or in denial?

Sometimes we talk and check in on one another but we are no longer close.

We never actually got to sitting down as we put our bags in the compartment and then ran out of the train to the book shop to grab some books and magazines for the journey and that is when the train left.

Yeah for some reason I was expecting the money although I have no idea why it just seemed correct.

The first dream is the moment you checked out, I’m assuming, of your journey together. Possibly a simultaneous or mutual decision but it was premature or unexpected.

The second dream is the resolution of your relationship with her, everything is settled and no one is holding anymore baggage or ‘debt’. Things are squared away between you. Possibly, the payment is forgiveness.

If you still care for her, (not that you’re looking at re-committing in a relationship with her), but check in with her because she’s going through some stuff.

Usually when I have a dream about my ex they pop back up in my life and will text I miss you. It could be sign that she is thinking of you.

I did consider that, but as @Chrismater69 pointed out, dreams are not necessarily related to the actual subject matter, but are often symbolic.
