Can money by happiness?

I'd be happy.

Money doesn't buy happiness, but it does solve problems and alleviate worry.

If I had $10mil, I could buy my own property, get an EV, hire a personal health care team, get out of debt, and never have to work again.

Then my days would be free to spend as I wish, doing whatever I wish.

Which, honestly, would still be working. But, like, PT at my current job and setting up bunches of other projects for fun.

I could run business for the fun, not the money.

It can't buy happiness but its pretty good at keeping discomfort and /or anxiety out of your life. The only other way to achieve that would require membership in some Buddhist monks who are mendicants must rely completely on alms. They are not even allowed to save any leftover rice for following day. Might be the highest n form of spirituality I've ever seen. Since their philosphy/theology/ psychology is based on the premise that the universe is benevolent and saving even a grain of rice for the future is tantamount to the belief that the universe will provide for them. A bit similar to the off quoted but rarely encountered Sermon on the Mount.

Yeah I would feel happy I just got a large medical bill and could use the cash plus I could visit my friends more often of course if your thinking your be happy forever you would be very foolish to believe that

I believe it can buy happiness, because if I won the lottery, I would quit my job to get away from lousy management and badmouthing employees and spend the rest of my days paying off my bills while spending time with my loved ones. Woo! And on top of all of that, I can stay up late and sleep in!

I don't think it can buy happiness but it can certainly make it easier to think positively when people aren't struggling to pay the bills.
