What’s a neat skill or talent you have?

I can quick-sketch portraits of people on the spot reasonably well (not great but capture a reasonable likeness and personality). They don't have to hold still and never do; I just try to capture as much important info as I can quickly. I used to do it a lot at bars like so with ballpoint pen and sometimes grey marker:

Cheers and thanks! I never had the patience to spend a lot of time on a drawing or painting, but I turned my focus to speed. This one's a little less crude but I used to do speed paintings on an Oekaki applet live in front of people to try to draw as fast as possible. This one's from a photo ref but took under 10 mins. I work from big picture to small details:

Blending and soft brushes take way too much time so I used pixel spray brushes and just let the viewer's eyes blend it for me:

Thanks! I used to use it as a trick in my early 20s when I first moved to Tokyo and started going to bars by myself. I was still a little bit shy about trying to initiate conversations with strangers around me, so I ended up sketching them instead, and then that'd serve as a conversation starter. :-D I since got used to just talking to strangers wherever I go but the sketching used to help me in the beginning.

That is the American way though. Just call around the same model dealerships for quotes on mechanical work, every one of them will give dramatically different numbers for the same exact things needed done.

@dustybiker lmfao that is exactly right... there is always a disclaimer about how, even if you followed their instructions, and got the exact same model... your product MIGHT still not be compatible or 100% accurate with the guidelines so, if something blows up, they warned you first

because you should have read all of the instructions as well as disclaimers, funny thing... they usually give you a the full set of instructions and warnings and what not, along with a one page print of "three easy steps to get you going right away"

Writing and Music. I will say Music is skill and writing is talent. I didn't really worked hard for writing as if it is something I'm booned with. I needed to work hard for music though and still need to improve a lot.

Pretty much any 3 items and they don't have to be identical, but it helps. I can't manage 4. Bean bags are easiest, ping pong balls are tougher.
