Have you ever had a funny elevator experience?

Here's mine:  The other night, was out late as had day off the next day and when getting on elevator to leave, two young guys and a girl (early twenties) asked if they could get on the elevator with me. The girl seemed pretty trashed, but they all smelled like alcohol. As the doors closed, the girl says she hates elevators... Minute she says that, the guy standing next to her jerks and half collapses... As we're all starting to freak out, he laughs and gets up and said sorry he had to.. I gave him shit just like his friends did lololTold him don't he know better than to scare old people (might of lightly smacked his shoulder lolol) As I got off the elevator, he says drive safe and don't have a heart attack lolol It was pretty funny though and we all were laughing.

I don’t have a funny story, but I do have a cool one. I was in one of the college dorms studying with a friend who doesn't have a car to drive to my house, so I went to her. As I was leaving, I dropped my keys and they dropped right between the space between the elevator and the floor, dropping to the bottom of the elevator, SHIT! But a guy who was walking by saw it, asked what happened (I guess to confirm what he thought he saw) and said just wait there, ill be back with someone who’ll get your keys. Less that 2 minutes later the guy returned with someone. He asked me what happened and I told him, and he just said ok let’s get to the ground floor. As we went he made some calls and asked them to guard the elevator on each floor so nobody uses it, and at the ground floor he pulled out this tool that he put in the hole at the top of all elevator doors, turned it and the door opened, but there was no elevator. He reached in and turned on a light. There were my keys next to a giant spring bolted to the floor. (Along with countless student id’s which are required to call the elevator.) because he had to keep the door open I had to climb down and retrieve my keys, as well as everything else I could grab, and he helped me up and out! It was so cool! I never thought that doing something as seemingly banal as that would be so cool. I offered him a $20 thank you, but he refused and asked me to dinner. He was NOT my type but I figured WTF its just a way to say thank you, so I went. It was. A lovely dinner and for once I didn't pay, I offered, but he refused. It wasn’t a romantic date, he acknowledged that at the beginning, and without the pressure of dating on my shoulders, I had a fantastic time. We still keep in touch and are always friendly when we see each-other around campus. Not the sexiest or funniest story, but it was a cool thing that happened, and it involved an elevator, so…

I was lost in mall once. Not long before. I was 13 only so I wasn't very worried and kept my cool. I searched the whole floor in which I got lost from my parents. I said staffs and they called out my name in mic incase my parents are there. There was no response or anything still after 10 mins so I just thanked them for their help and thought of searching in the floor above (Kids clothing section as they were planning to choose my sister's clothes). I went towards the elevator. When the elevator door opened I saw a um a guy taking out a rose and proposing a girl. I was awestruck lol. It looked so cute and lovely. The girl started blushing so bad but when she noticed me she took the rose from his hand and hitted him with the rose in his head and held his collar and made him stand and gave me a smile as if nothing happened lol. I whispered lowly "I'm sorry. You can continue" as I know how it feels to be interrupted as I have a crush. That guy looked totally pissed off lmao. I just took to escalator to the floor above. In last my mom called me and we met (my phone wasn't recharged so I couldn't call).

Yes. A dumbass janitor did not mop the elevator floor completely dry at a place I had a job interview. I was texting on my phone and not paying attention where I was going. I slipped face forward right into a woman's chest. She laughed and jokingly asked if I enjoyed the view. I was embarrassed and my face turned completely red. To make matters worse I went into the room for the interview and she was on the panel. The look on her face and then her colleague's faces told me they already knew the story. I tried to keep a straight face during the interview, but after about every 2-3 questions one of the panel members would make a joke about the hazards of wet floors. Luckily I thought quick on my feet and was able to roll with the jokes. I got the job offer and to make matters even more sweet the same woman in the elevator was my mentor until I got settled in. That work place was very chill. I would have stayed but COVID happened and we went out of business.

Several years ago, my boss and I were on a business trip and staying at a hotel. We were taking the elevator down to go to dinner when the elevator stopped about 3 feet (1 meter) above the floor and the doors partially opened. We looked at each other, pried the doors all the way open, crawled through the opening and jumped down to the floor. People waiting for the elevator just looked at us in amazement. A member of the hotel staff saw what happened and immediately checked to see if we were okay (we were fine), put a cone in front of the now out-of-service elevator, and called maintenance.

I went into an elevator while re-reading documents for an appointment, not paying attention. A woman had come in with me and pressed the button for the same floor. As the door closed the extreme delay for movement made me look up. It was then I noticed the walls and ceiling were tightly covered in construction plastic. Still delayed. “Did we make a poor choice entering this thing? Is this working?” Thinking at least it was lit and we knew the door worked to some capacity.. then thinking horror movie. She just looked over and smiled and it started moving. I let out a breath. Why the heck didn’t I see that and take the stairs? lol I still think they added that 30 second delay to freak people out more.

Real quick but I didn't do it on purpose. So i was thinking of stuff I can make for my audience, and they enjoy "gas". So i'm on the elevator, making fart noises because I'm a child. And I was doing one on my arm and the doors open up and this guy just stares at me... My hand was gone so all he heard was the ending of a fart...

In when I was in fifth or sixth grade, I was riding the elevator at my school when an older boy walked in. I guess I didn't really notice at the time, but he was facing the corner of the elevator and there was a clear sound of trickling "water". He got off before me, so I was alone in the elevator. I noticed that there was a really gross smell. Next stop, one of my teachers got on. She was like, "oh my gosh, Oliver, did you wet your pants in the elevator?". I was so embarrassed, but I did realize what happened and reported the boy. I felt bad for him, though, because he confessed and said he was sorry and just really needed to pee. Disgusting, though - why couldn't he have just waited until he got off, and then used a urinal?

Probably we got on an empty elevator at the hotel and it was very obvious someone farted right before we got on. It stunk so bad.

But we got to the next floor and someone got on and the look we got from them, when they thought we did it, it was hilarious.

I've only ever used an elevator a few times in my life, usually in a hotel or something. We call them "lifts" in the UK because it's easier to spell. I was in one once that had the manufacturers name "Schindler" inside on a small plaque. Yep, I've been on Schindler's lift.

I had to take some trash out and some neighbors were coming back from walking their dogs. When I arrived on the ground floor, the door open and *right then* the daughter tried to make the one dog jump over her arm to get into the elevator and the dog suddenly looked and me, the daughter was like "what's wrong" and then she looked and me and said "ooops" 🤣

in a crowded elevator with a group of girls i didn't know, one decided to get "extra" close to me and pressed her butt into my crotch and just stayed like that the whole ride up. there was enough room that she didn't need to do it, so I'm guessing it was either a dare or she just wanted a story to tell her friends later. I didn't exactly hate it either. 😁

There was me and 3 to 4 other Women going up to another floor to our group therapy and got caught in an elevator we had to wait for maintenance to get it running again but we just all laughed cause I was the only man. Lol
