For say, an hour.
I've been trapped in an elevator before. For an hour. ... At work. Luckily, only one other person in there with me (a female). The BEST thing you can hope for, is that you don't have to pee or poop! (And I didn't! But I still know, that's the worst case scenario.) The problem with me is, I work in South Korea. I only know basic Korean. Hard to call for help when you're not fluent in the world's second hardest language to learn (but hey, at least it's not Mandarin Chinese!)
The female called for help on the emergency button. They had to pry open the doors with the jaws of life. Once I got out, I then had to walk up nine flights of stairs to get to my job, too.
And what's worse is, our building has those damn annoying double levels of floors, so instead of walking up two stairways like usual, I had to walk up four stairways between floors. Meaning it was REALLY more like 18 f*cking flights of stairs! I had to take a break on the 6th floor to catch my breath.
And all of this, not even mentioning I f*cking HATE elevators in general! People getting on them, and the general experience of them. I can only like them if it's a one way trip and I'm all alone on them. Interruptions on elevators piss me off.
So yeah... Not fun. 😒

+1 yEasily, too easily, my mom on the other hand, ohhhh lord have mercy, 2 minutes is a problem, we once were in an elevator and there was a power cut, I think I was 14, literally in less than a minute she held my hand and was like ohhh my god mom ohhh my god what are we going to do? So I start laughing then she starts insulting me😂😂😂saying I know nothing about life and I haven't experienced anything so I don't know what these situations mean

But one hour, not a big deal. Let's hope the phone battery is fully charged.

+1 yIt'd depend if I was alone or with someone.
If I were alone, I'd probably get really bored. Especially if I knew someone was coming after I called.
If I was with someone and they were having a panic attack, my experience might be less peaceful.10 Reply376 opinions shared on Other topic. I was in an elevator once for about 10 minutes, stuck in a hotel. I was ok and to really alarmed, but my then 8 year old daughter did not take to it well, and to this day she does not like elevators.
12 Reply928 opinions shared on Other topic. I'd handle it fine. I can get out of the elevator car if I need to. There are advantages to being like a spider monkey and having the ability to climb about anything.

+1 yKnowing that I will not be trapped or else I’m going and if I’m the only person in the elevator I would do just fine. I’m not going to be in an elevator with 1 or more people cause I’m just going to get agitated

Pauly's chances are much "higher". I reckon he uses the elevator a lot to feel taller.

😂😂I would have to pass the time somehow...
I'd be fine, I'd probably just pull up TikTok and like 3 minutes later the hour would be gone lol

an hour, wondering and wandering around in my mind while I wait is not really a long time, not to me anyway... lol10 Reply 10.3K opinions shared on Other topic. I don't think I would handle it well. I probably would have a panic attack and I would end up passing out.

10 ReplyAm I alone or are there people in it with me and if there are people how well are they coping?

1 hour to 8 hours, I'd be fine might have to slap the crazy out of someone if they start panicking but for the most part I'd be fine, I do have a room in my basement with a tricked out custom made coffin that I sometimes sleep in so, claustrophobic I am not and I can stand still or sit or lay down for hours without a problem. I'm just wondering if I'm going to have to sleep someone else.
+1 yHopefully I was toting around a book that day..
10 ReplyI'd probably just try to go to sleep, if it's a sure thing that I'm getting saved within an hour.
10 ReplyI'd just sit and wait. As long as I know help is on the way, elevators don't really trigger any claustrophobia.
10 Reply3.7K opinions shared on Other topic. On Toy Story 2 they taught me elevators you can escape from the top i would maybe try climbing my way out if maintenence or firefighters don't get me out lol
