Should I Just Get A House Instead To Save Money?

(My rent is currently $1350 a month for a one bedroom, one bath, but it's considered a luxury condo here in my part of Colorado)

i love that office chair, though it looks like a gamers type hmm. I see the computer set up n it is cool, since who hates setting up a computer like an FBI agent lol.

I like that balcony, since it provides an additional space outside and you can chill on it. Laundry room check, and @secret6620 you know how much i like huskies n yours has a cool fur too.
For the lighting system i do love led lighting pretty much. Your room is okay simple and pretty.

I have a red couch that my former roommate and I (he moved to be back near his parents) called it "the comfy couch" since we both fall asleep on it within 5 minutes if either of us lay on it.

Just Please be very careful in showing to many People of where u live on here because there are some very very bad freak's on here an I don't want u to get ( hurt PRETTY PLEASE) I only say this to u in ur best interest my BBF an photo matching an mapping is a good way but not so good for us so they can find out where you live.

Looks nice. I like that you live someplace where owning a house could actually save you money. The Canadian housing market is fucked everything is hugely inflated because of foreign buyers using them as a store of value and not even living in them.

Here in Colorado you can get a basic house with less than an acre of land for $400,000 it's very expensive here but getting into a 30 year lease with a 20% down payment makes the housing bill affordable.

Yeah were looking at upwards of 700 000 here for a middle of the road place with prices ten times that in Toronto and Vancouver, and the loan criteria are getting very strict.

Gonna stick with my apartment for a while yet I think. Still though I wouldn't mind a third or fourth bedroom.

Seems good for one person or a couple, definitely cheaper than a house and no maintenance needed with a condo except small stuff but if you’re starting a family a house is better but more money and work

It's so nice to have maintenance come out and fix anything I break lol.

My toilet wouldn't flush and they rushed over to fix it. My hot water heater broke last year and they just replaced it for free.

It's very convenient.

Sorry I cannot give you any advise on real estate wether buying or selling I have no idea about that for the area you live in but your home is beautiful and looks very cosy you should be proud of yourself.

For $1300/month that might be a nice house mortgage I’m not sure what the price of housing is where you live. You would definitely have to live outside the city if you bought a house. A person can never go wrong buying property/houses.

For a descent home in Colorado it's about $400,000 dollars.

So I could be paying the same or less if I got a house. Saves money and I get more space.

Might consider moving after I get my degree in history.

Yeah it is just a waste of money in my opinion because you won't get that money back at all and the money could be going to a mortgage of your own home, unless someone can't afford a house especially with home prices rising.

What do you do for a living to afford all that at such a young age?

Medically retired Marine Corps veteran and student using post 9/11 benefits which includes a housing allowance.

100% VA disability checks for the rest of my life. I would have preferred to continue fighting for my country but my injuries were too severe.

PTSD and lost function of my right shoulder. But retiring in my 20s isn't so bad. I don't have to work anymore unless I want to.

Owning house is great. I have paid mine off. I have been living debt free for the last 12 year. Still have set money aside for unexpected repairs. When you do decide to go by a house have it inspected it is worth every dollar that you put into that inspection. People have a tendency to hide things. Good luck.
