I live on the very edge of tornado alley. Heck, I studied for my driver's license exam during an outbreak. Our infrastructure here is terrible; we lose power to gentle breezes a couple times a year at least. I unplug electronics, if the storm is very large or very slow moving, I flip the breaker to rooms with appliances with compressors since power rapidly flickering on and off can badly damage them. Then I set my phone to charge as long as I can before there's too much lightning. I often sit on the floor with my two german shepherds, one randomly became afraid of storms a couple years ago and I don't know why. The other doesn't care. So I give the frightened one an anxiety calming chewable cube thingy and a small treat to the other, then sit with them on the floor and read a book while I monitor the storm on the phone. They both like to chew on a toy and pay close attention if I'm talking to them, so often I'll read my book to them, cycling between calm and happy inflections at random. They cock their heads as they listen.
Once the dogs are calm, I tend to sleep because I'll have to stay up late to catch up on things that were delays like homework. Prof's don't care if you had power or not, stuff has to be done. When things are in the clear, climb up on the roof to remove debris and make sure there isn't any major damage, then collect the debris from the yards, break them down enough to fit into the recycling bin for Thursday, restore my breakers, plug things back in, and get back to normal life.
Disconnect or turn off the electronics, sit with one light and a book, some snacks :)
Gets to be bed time? Wash up, move to the bedroom to read... sleep when I'm ready, lol! I love the sound of the rain after the storm has passed... soothing! Snuggle weather!
There was a snow blizzard here two weeks ago in my area. That the power went out on two different day occasions. The power was out for 4-5 hours.
Had to use a flashlight 🔦 to use the bathroom. Also, some townsfolk drove for a hour to the next town, where there was still power and stayed in a hotel 🏨 for the night.
I walked over to my parents house for the company and to stay warm. Cause they had a gas furnace and I didn’t.
We can get terrible storms and flooding certain times of the year. You have to be prepared. Sometimes they can bring the city to a halt almost. Getting around is tough.
Other than having food and water, there is not much else you can do. It is pretty much localized to a certain time of year, so I do know when to make preparations in case.
Other than the really bad ones, I don't mind storms. I kind of enjoy thunderstorms.

Make sure in advance I have enough gas on hand in case power goes out, and extra fire wood
I go out into them and enjoy the rain and wind, since rain is my favorite weather. Its great to do, but we don't get tornado's here, or anything like that. We do get microbursts pretty often though.
We have blizzards in the winter. Basically I shovel the driveway and hope the power does not go out.
Thunderstorms scare me very much. Sometimes to this point that I start crying. I pluck my earphones and try to ignore the thunderstorm.
Sometimes take a drive to the beach and watch the storm at sea and lightening
or I snuggle up with a whisky and cat.
For most part the same as I would if there wasn't a bad storm in my area. Unless I lose electricity, I wouldn't be much affected.
dont really have a plan lol worst thing I've had is a tornado that toched down around 5 miles away form my house and a ice storm that knocked out power for a few days
I enjoy them. They recharge my spirit and help me blow off steam and stress.
Sometimes I go out in them to relish in the electricity!!! I love them
I love when it storms really bad! I'm going to college in the fall to study meteorology.
I’ve had to take shelter in an interior room before.
stay at home xD cause here, houses aren't built with toothpicks and cardboard :D
I read a book, if the lights are out I use a candle or a kerosene lantern.
Whenever a hurricane comes, I open up my prep box, place batteries in my radios and flashlights, lay away from windows.
Turn the light on brighter. If I see my chairs moving outside, I'll move em inside.
At first p, I thought that was a picture of a fish trying to suck on/eat something
The worst it gets where I live is a little rain.
No that pic is from Kansas tornado. But I see them here like that
Go outside and record it
I go outside and watch.
We prepare we stay in our homes
Hope to die.
I jerk off
