I like them and I find them to be fascinating. Where I live, we don't get that many so it is more of an unusual event here.
And did you know that some people experience "sexual arousal through thunderstorms"? Not me, but a few years back a lady posted about her experience with it.

NO!!! i LOVE them. i especially like when lightning is close. i like the wave of sound that rumbles through everything, i can feel it go through my chest. but this is coming from the guy who would stop as close to the airstrip and listen to the fighter jets take off. just feeling the very air vibrate and rumble and the earth shake as the jets blasted off into the sky...

I have always been petrified of them even to this day. I gave bad childhood memories of thunder storms causing our electricity to go out. I remember how scary the dark felt, and how helpless we were.

  It’s stopped now, all out plugs are surge protected and our lights started to flicker, got my dog and hid under my quilt like an ‘adult’

I survived a flood 6 years ago, had to rebuild my home, hard storms make me nervous now. Used to love sleeping when it rained, now have problems going to sleep
