Just yesterday we tested these three cars on regular asphalt rather than either a prepped or unprepped dragstrip which most magazine tests rely on and showed the three cars' true colors in performance. The Corvette Z06 did better in cornering than both of the exotic cars costing more than 3x as much, but not as good in the braking department. It's a bit quicker than the McLaren 765LT, but slower than the Ferrari F8T.

We did a "private" test co-opted by Road & Track staff and engineers and it is pending for official approval (not yet published for mass readers). The conducted Z06 in question is a silver prototype.

It was supposed to do a 10.6-second quarter-mile (with rollout), which GM claims for Z07-packed cars on a dragstrip. However, our standard Z06 ran 11.8 (without rollout, 11.5 with it) on normal roads.
