I just played my evaluation game tonight for my adult men’s hockey league where the captains watch all of the other players for a draft, I registered a goal and an assist, and afterwards we had the draft in the parking lot, haha. I got drafted in the 5th round, #20 overall, which is way higher than I expected, since I just started playing the sport a year ago (minus a false start in early 2020…thanks, Covid😒). So that made me pretty happy, I was smiling to myself on the ride home. I wasn’t there for the draft in my first season this past January, so this was my first experience with something like that since being picked for a team on a middle school playground, lmao. You never wanted to be the last guy picked😂 It was a good feeling to get picked relatively high, I need athletic morale boosts like this at my age, lmfao.
