Having people sample my empanadas at a wine club at I belong to, and liking them. I was up at the table getting my wine sample when someone came up to the director and told him, holding an empanada in his hand, “Hey, you need to try one of these out before they’re all gone. What are these things? They’re filled with meat.” And I answered, “Empanadas!” They had never seen nor tried them before. At this club I always bring food but most bring things like chips and cheese.
