What do you do to clean your car?

Ahhh. This is one of my favourite subjects...

1) I get the pressure washer hose out (On low setting of course) and connect it to this two way gun I have
2) the two way gun. Firstly I set it to shampoo until the whole car is under soapsuds.
3) I then set it to wash and this washes off all the dirt.. (can't use a cloth yet or it will ground in the dirt)
4) Now I use a new carbon fibre cloth to dry off excessive water
5) Now I buff the windows with Mer Window Polish ll the way around until it turns to a haze
6) I take a fresh cloth and wipe off that polish
7) Repeat process for the inside of windows too
8) Now I apply Mer Wax over the bodywork (Every 3 months) and buff/wipe
9) Every 1 month Same as above but with just regular Shine Mer Polish.
10) Now the wheels. I have special spoke wheels that need foam polish (also Mer) They get done weekly
11) Every week I do just wash/shampoo and microfibre cloth until dry.

My G/f Car I take every couple of weeks to the hand wash car place round the corner to me.. They have 6 guys working on one car at a time and do a pretty good job.

2 bucket wash, sometimes 3.

pre wash with hose, then pressure washer.

then snow foam or traffic film remover.

then if it’s a deep clean it’s a full wash with decent wash such as Gtechniq GWash

will usually give it a couple of go overs.

divide the car up and start with Wheels, Arches, Door Jambs, then body work. Changing mitts to one’s to use on body work.

make sure using lambswool mitt or similar

make sure you rinse the mitt after each section washed.

then clay bar, using lube specific to the clay.

Once car is nice n clean, you can now look at applying wax or hybrid sealant

once wax and buffed, look at (if required) adding a sealant over the top.

or you can use a ceramic coating (best get a detailer to do).

Inside I just vacuum. For windows I just use spray on window cleaner and wipe off with newspaper to avoid streaks. I don’t polish my car or anything, it’s an old run around car, so nothing special.

Bucket w/car soap. Wash the tires, rims, lower foot for so and the wheel wells. Dump remainder.
New bucket w/soap. Wash car from top down (yes, I know some purists will have us work from the bottom up) a section at a time, overlapping areas so you don't miss any. Rinse section by section. When all done, re-rinse. Dry with a chamois, vertical surfaces first.
If I already have my power washer out for somethings else, I'll use the widest spray pattern from about 2-3' away to wash and rinse.

I used DuPont car wash, I hand dry it with a towel. I have started using ceramic car polish/ It works better than paste wax.  this stuff works good

Most of the time use touch less car washes due to parking and space constraints. Once I get a bigger place I’ll wash it by hand much more often. Adams polishes is a good ph neutral wash that won’t damage the paint.

I keep micro fiber clothes in my trunk, wash whenever I can and wax it. Vacuum when I was. I have the custom rubber mats in my car to reduce dirt on the carpet. I can go on and on.
