Everybody collects something what do you collect?

My dad was the lead machinist for Rockwell Int'l in Downey, Ca. It's where they build the space vehicles from Mercury through the Space Shuttle. He used go bring interesting things home to me. They had a store for company employees and their families. I used to go there are buy space memorabilia.

The Downey Post office was the only post office with its own space program-related cancellation and they would take really good care to do them just right when a letter had a space stamp. So I bought a lot of space related things from that post office, too.

I knew someone who worked for JPL in Pasadena. She gave me some things but also got me into their open houses. I got some unique space memorabilia there, too.

So I have a bunch of space program memorabilia from a long time ago, but now I don't now how to get rid of it.

Golf balls with corporate logos on them is my "official" collection.

I also have a less "official" collection of 1950-1960's items:
autographed records by Bobby Vinton, Jim Stafford, George Wright, and Andy Williams, Hershey's and Coke memorabilia, Lava Lamp, neon guitar, etc. ad nauseam.

A bunch of very small, random items I use on my model railroad.

A bunch of big stuff in my workshop- nuts, bolts, strange parts, etc., I use to MacGyver fixes for things. My wife hates the boxes of stuff, but she sure likes it when I can fix something without having to buy new parts, etc.

Dust, monthly disability checks, records, Mad and National Lampoon magazines, and a couple basses. I only have 4 and I really only need 2 more but I doubt I'll ever get them.
