When does a risk of infertility start for women?

I'm a 30 year old virgin woman but I'm not out looking to have kids nor I want them. But I'm just curious to know is all, a 41 year old man dumped Mr cause I didn't want kids and he said I wasn't getting any younger and should consider having kids but its just not my preference...

A women can be infertile at any age. Age does play a factor tho like 35-40 is really the max age for both men and women to be having a child.

At 35 it is considered a geriatric pregnancy and the risks definitely increase.

But let's be serious... if having kids is not your preference, then you need to be with someone that shares that preference.

I know. But I see some women have kids at 40 or even after...

They do! So I'm a nurse, but obstetrics is not my specialty so I'm digging this stuff up from school, but the risks for both the mother and the child really increase in pregnancies the older you get. Pregnancy complications that risk the mother's life are common as well as an increased risk in child development and rates of disability.

every year after 25 it gets riskier. After 35 it’s particularly risky

Depends on the woman. My mum had me at 44 (my sister at 40) and didn’t enter menopause until mid-late fifties.

Best bet is recall your family medical history and ask your doctor.

35 is the line the medical community draws, the more realistic line is about 40 if you are healthy.
