I been through a lot of these type situations. Wasn't always alone during those times.

I lost about $1000 worth of cymbals immediately after a gig.
We played a gig at The Decade and after the show, I packed up all my gear and we started loading it into the van. All my cymbals were in the cymbal safe and I, personally, took them out to the van and put them in their special hiding place that only 3 to 5 of us in the band knew where they went! Any nefarious asshole walking by could've stepped into the van and not found them! And, with at least 5 of us (I don't recall if any of the roadies were there) going back & forth in and out of the van, sometimes 2 or 3 at a time, there was NO chance anyone could've stolen them!! Besides, it was about 3:00 a. m. and nearly everyone was home and in bed, by then.
We finished packing up and got into the van and drove over to Tim's house about 4 miles away where we would unload and put the stuff in his basement. I went to get the safe to take it into Tim's house and it was gone!! I never saw it or those cymbals again!! We searched the entire van and found nothing and even went back to The Decade to search and ask if they saw it anywhere. No such luck!! It just grew legs and walked away!!

Yeah but, who? How did they vanish IN the van? Jason was the only other one that could drive and he was in the van with the rest of us! He wouldn't even carry his own amp or guitar if he had someone else to do it for him!! He even made his wife do it!! And, in was about 75 pounds and at least 22" across and 26' tall!! It's not like you can just slip it into your pocket.
And, it was IN THE VAN when we left and gone by the time we got to Tim's house 5:00 later!

The worse sleep paralysis i had was at my old job from years ago when i worked at a junkyard & fell asleep this quiet room that had a bench outside the break room and it was the most weirdest and longest one yet. I was stuck with a black dot floating infront of my eye & in my ear i heard weird demonic voices and then i finally woke up and was like wtf lol i never had it like that before ever And even to this day.
