For students or working-class alike, what do you listen to when you are studying?

I am a student and I am currently listening to Spotify's Playlist Beethovan Relax.

I am listening to this while I am writing a program for one of my projects.

Instrumentals are wayy better than songs as they do not have words, only instruments.
And the playlist I am listening to is specially curated for Students only, by Spotify.

Glad that Spotify is thinking about students too. It is actually helping me focus. I am surprised myself!

I make my students play their favorite music while they study, work and even during exams... and whatever they choose

my reasoning for it is that... while there can be many things in your mind or your environment that can distract you while you study, work and solve an exam and they can all distract you at once

when you're listening to music... music will be the only one thing that distracts you at times, nothing else, so it is easier to snap out of it a come back to focus, and the fact that you're quite familiar with your favorite music and in general it is something you like and makes you feel good, makes it even easier to turn it into a background soundtrack
this is what worked for me, and this also seems to be working for the majority of them, or at least is not an obstacles nor there's negative effects... and it is optional as well, if they don't want to do it , then they do not have to do it

as for my own choices, I just go with my moods... so it can vary a lot, lol

I like listening to rain or "Evening waves" by Peder B. Helland, which is a beautiful piano melody. I love listening to pop other times.

I didn't use to listen to music while I was studying because it distracted me. However I used to listen to it when I was writing essays so I wouldn't fall asleep.

I like listening to ambient music. Like rain and storms. There's also some really nice ones from the Hobbit and Harry Potter as well!

Pandora and YouTube. Usually Pandora I have the premium subscription so I don't have to listen to commercials. I find most of what I like and what they don't have YouTube does.

I just got my student Spotify Premium (1 hr max since the subscription).
I have been using Spotify Premium for 2 years previously. For the past 2 months, YTMusic, and then did not feel good there, so came back here on Spotify.
The UI is amazing, that is why.

I also have Amazon Music through Prime, but I absolutely hate that app. I would say one of the worst, at least for me.

Yeah I hate the Amazon music it sucks and unreliable. I stopped that subscription long time ago.

I only use it for Kindle free books, free shipping, and PrimeVideo. That too really occasionally. Like 1 or 2 times in a month.

1 year subscription = 19.19 USD in India. As I am a student, I got it for 6.40 USD, with the cashback in Amazon Pay. Its a steal deal. And I also do online shopping, so Amazon is pretty good too there.
