Is a car inspection supposed to take 4 days (they have spent 4 days with my car)?

Apparently the guy is out of the country like wtf. And my dad is calling me unreasonable and immature because I’m upset at him I need to go to work and uber is overpriced. My boyfriend can’t take me anymore and he told me it was supposed to be done by Wednesday so I’m upset that I still don’t have a clear answer and I told him that it was his fault. I just want my car back 🤦🏽‍♀️

or did your father do that... ?

and why do you say that your car is in great condition... while someone else apparently, says it is a salvage car...

salvage car means that it has extensive damage from a car accident, so now is pretty much good for nothing, except saving some still working parts

A vehicle inspection in the UK takes about 1 hour, appointments are booked ahead of time.

Vehicle inspection is a slightly higher qualification than a standard mechanic so mechs who test probably only test, the appointments are booked in ahead of time and therefore generally happen when they are supposed to happen.

whats the inspection? like a regular service shouldn't be more than a day, annual test certificate (i know it varies country to country) is a few hours depending if there are any defects to fix. Normally they should give you some idea of roughly how long you will be without the car.

You would think if the guy was any good, he would have a backup

to do the vehicles inspections also there are them fair deal dans where

they find all kinds of things wrong with your vehicle and they can't pass

inspection to them things are fixed I know in Pennsylvania we have our

share of assholes who call themselves mechanics but are nothing more

then money-making scammers just be careful.

Either a scam or pure incompetence. Car inspections in my country take an hour and that’s including the waiting time.

If you had an appointment it should only take an hour tops to inspect the car. The car wouldn't be able to be registered if there's anything wrong with the repairs that were made after the accident. I'd take the car to another shop. Having it for 4 days for an inspection is insane

Nope that's way too long tell them don't do anything. And go pic up your car and take it some place else. If the guy is out of town why did they even take your car he could've just said there not doing inspections right now cause the guy that does it is out of town that way you could've taken you car elsewhere.
