Just asking because a Master Member posted a meme saying that there were no dinosaurs and that it is all made up so checking to see if others have any similar ideas about other things like this?

I'm not trolling, just having fun. Have some with me and be nice please.

The earth is a sphere. Dinosaurs did exist. Men have walked on the moon.

I have some personal experience. I've visited places ranging from Hawaii to Alaska. I noted the positions of Orion, Gemini, Ursa Minor, and Taurus. Their positions in the sky change as latitude changes. There is no foreshortening distortion that would happen if flat earthers were correct about the distances. Since my class overlooks the Pacific Ocean, almost every evening from my classroom I could watch the sun dip below the horizon, not recede into the distance as flat earthers claim. I have watched ships sail to the horizon and over it. They appear to sail up to, then on, then over the horizon, their hulls disappearing before their superstructures. This is consistent with a round earth, but not a flat one. Although I've never done it, I've met sailors and pilots who circumnavigated the world. I have no reason to believe they're liars. They navigated great distances using great circle routes, and having to adjust their headings to maintain their course on the great circle. Again, consistent with a round earth but not a flat one. I crossed lake Pontchetrain to get to New Orleans. There's a vast bridge over a long stretch of water there. I personally saw the skyscrapers of New Orleans in the distance. The closer I got to New Orleans, the more and more shorter buildings started to loom up from the horizon. Consistent with a round earth, but not a flat one. I've flown an airplane at 11,000'. I could see the wind turbines in Tehachapi all the way from Oxnard. At 6000' they weren't visible. Again, consistent with a round earth but not a flat one. I have seen countless lunar eclipses, consistent with a round earth, but not a flat one. Why are all the other planets round and orbiting the sun, but not the earth?

But I have a theory. I think most people who *claim* to be flat earthers are trolls. They will usually start in with Bible verses and claim how God and his son Jesus made the world flat. I think this is a silly attempt to make Christians look dumb.

The moon landings? They have been confirmed by *countless* independent sources who had no interest in lying about America going to the moon. The Soviet Union and China for example. And the pictures taken are all consistent with lunar geography that has been confirmed using technology that hadn't been invented in the 60s. And the 800 lbs of rocks and soil returned from the moon have been shared with literally scores of other nations that have no interest in perpetuating a hoax. They have been scrutinized with microscopes, electron microscopes, gas chromatographs, and spectral analyzers. They've been crushed, burned, melted, and zapped with lasers. Their chemistry is inconsistent with earth's, and completely consistent with moon meteors found in Antarctica and other places. The Apollo spacecraft were tracked by dozens of nations. Even their urine dumps were observed! Amateurs, with no interest in perpetuating the hoax, observed them! The radio transmissions all displayed doppler shifts that were consistent with objects heading towards (or from during the return) the moon. Furthermore, I have personally met aerospace engineers who worked on the Saturn V, or the CSM, or the LM. They didn't strike me as liars.

As for dinosaurs, I have known several geology/paleontology teachers. Earth science was my minor. I've recovered fossils in the field near Red Rock Canyon and Malibu. Seen them within deposits with my own eyes. Granted they weren't dinosaurs, since my beloved California was mostly under the sea at that time. They were marine fossils. One was clearly a trilobite... which simply don't exist anymore! The other was a fish; I never found out the species.

Earth? It's round.

Moon landings? That happened.

Dinosaurs? They walked the earth.

everything in mainstream is staged. Then some people debate how a space suit must be two meters thick and made with concrete in order not to get destroyed when entering space vacuum (and their space station is literally made with duct tape lol.)

Some so called whistleblowers from the top claimed that the reason they couldn't share what really happened on the moon was because they were confronted by aliens.

Whether dinosaurs existed, or giant humans and giant trees did, I don't know. There is interesting evidence of gene modification technology being used by the ancients, similar to how they built the pyramids that couldn't be replicated to this day. It's briefly touched here

We DID land on the moon but there WAS a faked landing shot by Kubrick. When he was shooting "Dr. Strangelove", he'd heard about some really spiffy new lens that the American government had and he wanted to use it for scene in that movie. They didn't really want to lend it out but, they did let him use it. A few years later, when they were planning to go to the moon, they figured that they were spending a LOT of money on this plan and, just in case the couldn't send back video/sound from the moon, they wanted to have SOMETHING to show to the American people for the cost and effort to get there so, they had Stanley pay them back for the use of this lens by making a fake moon landing video/film. When they finally did land on the moon and take the first step, the fake video was ready to start playing at any point where the real feed might get cut off, for some reason. Luckily, the faked footage was not needed because there were no problems with the original transmissions, except the bits NASA didn't want us to hear. Later, when shooting, "The Shining", he loaded LOTS of references into the movie about him having made the fake the landing. In his last movie, he let EVERYTHING come out about the illuminazi's and they killed him and completely re-edited the movie so nobody could make heads or tails out of it!

I should write this is a MY TAKE, since you ask a question that is 'close to home' for me with a woman friend. Well, here goes:

My friend says that not only, have we been there, WE HAVE MILITARY BASES ON THE DARK SIDE OF THE MOON, AND, ON MARS! With that said, she is a hard-core Trekkie!

She doesn't embrace the 'flat earth' crazy idea, but most other off the wall ideas,

(I am glad she doesn't see this, or she would disown me as a friend)

When I question, her about this, she says our 'space program', is all fake, in terms of the Space Shuttle program and she says that is a farce, and the military has put bases just about everywhere, and most of us don't know the truth.

When I tell her that Mars is (at it's closest point) over 38 million miles from Earth, and we can't possibly support life (at this point in time) she says we just don't know that we have 'secret' technology maybe like the Enterprise of Star Trek fame.

Also, there is an easy cure for all cancers that being kept away from us because of the billions researchers are making.

I gave up discussing these things with her, and we still remain 'friends'

I have met a few foreigners here in Tokyo who actually believes this theory. You really can't argue with these people. They seem to always want to tell people about it, for some reason. One flat-earther told me that every story about space travel is fake, too. Apparently, these people believe that space in actually super-hot, instead of near absolute zero, and anything traveling into space would melt, even metal! Sooo, I asked, "What about the thousands of satellites in orbit that transmit our tv stations, phone and internet services? They have an answer for that, too. Apparently, all satellites are at the upper edge of the atmosphere, attached to high-altitude balloons! 🤯😯🤭🤭 I am not making this up!
They also believe that we live on a flat circle that has an wall of ice around it, to keep the water in. I don't even try to argue with mental patients like these. 🤣

There is a lot I believe and don't believe that we all think we know to be truth. I'm 110% certain we have been to the moon AND I know the earth is round. It wouldn't be flat, it would have to be a cylindrical shape at the very least to accommodate the atmospheric layers (unless we aren't really breathing and that's a lie too). 🙄 honestly!

Birds are dinosaurs, so "were" is technically incorrect, as some are still here. But yes, the extinct varieties were actual living animals, though now they are mostly bone shaped rocks with little to no organic remains (though some specimens have preserved stretchy soft cellular tissues that can be revealed when dissolving the fossil).

You can see the curviture of the earth even from its surface, its a sphere, anyone saying otherwise is either an idiot or lives under a rock. Watch ships come in from the beach, you will see the tips of sails first before the rest of the boat gets revealed as it gets closer.

Yes we have been on the moon as a species, yes you could also fake a moon landing, no there would not be a point to faking it, and yes objects do in fact wobble in a vaccum, so no, the flag is not evidence of fake footage.

People thinking the earth was flat is a fiction. Take Troy, the Greeks knew they could sail/row over the horizon and not be seen. The horizon is only 4.8 km and you can see about 60 km away on land.

The very question doesn't make sense unless you are intending to sail vast distances. Ancient mariners did sail significant distances to trade without falling off.

I also believe dragons are/were living creatures (for historical context check out the bible Job 39 and 40 God giving Job the hardest science test ever). Yes the earth is round but it wobbles on its axis and also has a wobble in its orbit causing temperature fluctuations, cold and hot years.
