Funny you ask this as only yesterday I was talking to a 98 year old woman about it.

In my opinion why fake it? What point would there be? There is many things on space - satellites etc- so we can do it. I believe the issues now is not about trying to get to the moon (I guess there wasn't much there to excite scientists) but how to get further faster so data can be collected and used in a useful timeframe. Not waiting 60 years for a return sample! Or for a human to spend their whole life going somewhere just to die by time spaceship returns.

I never took much notice of the moon landing. All I've ever seen about it is the theories on it bring fake. So I don't know enough to argue a for or against case. But I'm presuming they were not on the moon for very long in their suits?

From little bit of research it says the mission succeeded because it was at a lower level of radiation that year ahd they went through the Van Allen belts quickly. And wore devices that monitored radiation exposure.

I believe all of them were real including the first one. The reason why humans haven’t gone back there in many years is because it’s really expensive.

Soviets didn't know it was fake. America lost the space race so they faked the moon landing to gain the upper hand.

The current flights to the moon and beyond will require much longer periods of exposures. Astronauts have to be protected. Besides that, this is what happened to the Fantastic Four.
