Would you accuse someone for something if you dont have any proof but you do have a hunch?

You sue that person based on a hunch and differnt odd attitudes from that person, but physically you dont have any proof. Im talking in this case a robbery. Like a maid stole money from the employer`son in his bedroom while cleaning it but he does not have any proof she stole the money and she insists and insists she did not steal the money, she never saw that money on the clothes, the guy store the money, but the son do think she steal the money cause her attiutude when she was told about the incident she is like nothing happened and it has anything to do with her, she is all calm but like I said there is no proof of anything.

I can't accuse someone if I have a hunch but I might question them to get more information. If you see someone doing something, it's not a hunch but you still don't have proof even though your own eyes saw it. If that's the case I will accuse them even if I don't have the proof because no one really knows what happened but me.

No, but I would do what I do every time I'm trying to evaluate a conspiracy theory. I would just break down my claim into its component parts and individually go through each part, trying to prove it with the least favorable interpretation of facts I possibly can.

If you have no proof, then there's no evidence that would result in a criminal conviction or a ruling in a civil suit. Bringing suit would be pointless. If your brother believes the maid stole the money, then stop doing business with the maid.

The thing is that the maid does the house chores to my mom as well in the same house. But my brotehr had never trust the lady, he says she is manipulative and trustful

@kitty71 If your brother so distrusts the maid, and she will continue to work in the house, maybe he should just keep all his stuff in his room and keep the door locked.

The thing is that my brotehr asks the maid to clean his room cause he always had it as a mess and he does not liek to clean it and smells always bad when it is not clean so the maid goes and clean it becuase HE asks her to do it but even so he does not trust her but he says that even though she is alone when he she cleans the room the maid never ever has to take anything from his room even if it is a plain sigh, even if she is tempted simply she does not have to do it.

Also since the money was never found, now mom and I had to come up with a decision regarding the woman. If it were for my brother he should had fired her but no evidence she took something. I mean possibly she took the money cause she was the only one who cleans his room, but there is no evidence or proof of anything. But since we can't fire here, We have to reimburse my brother money and also I dont know if it be wise to deduct each week part of the maid salary to make up for the money lost even if there is no proof.

My brother says that either mom or me reimburse him the money (cause taht money lost was to pay off his credit card) or tell the maid to find a way to pay him, like I said there is no evidence but im sure she did it.

@kitty71 Your brother should not expect you are your mother to reimburse him for the money. You have no responsibility to do that, and it would be a poor idea to deduct from the maid's salary. Bottom line: your brother should take better care of his money, especially where he keeps it. Keeping money lying around is a bad idea.

But he told us he has to pay the credit card. I mean it is not that the money was on plain sight and he told us he is not crazy or distracted beause when it comes to money issues he is very delicate and careful. The money was inside a jacket pocket he hanged at his closet. I mean who could know there was money there? Tha tis what my brother says.

Sad to say but there is always a possibility that your brother running out of money won't make it up to get your money. I think in this case you should lend him the money, not reimburse him or anything and stop hiring that maid while explaining it to her. Sorry to be the voice of evil here but I have seen so many people have been lied to by their own blood and skins.

Well, I don't know how much did he lose. It can be big or small. You sound like it's a big deal so I overestimate the issue.

@kitty71 If someone is not happy with the person working for them, they should politely terminate their employment. In this case, it would be because your brother doesn't like the maid... it wouldn't be over the money.
This is a good learning event for your brother... to take better care if his money. If your mother gives him the money, she kills that learning experience... does your mother usually coddle your brother? He needs to learn more responsibility. Somrone suggested a loan... that's not a bad idea.

My brother has this stupid theory on how the money could had ben stolen. The thing is that in the house onky things belonging to him get stolen or dissapear. My brother does not trust people he is very distrustful to anyone., So his theory is that the maid let her son enter the house and lead the her son all the way to my brother room and steal things there. I mean at my hosue strnagers are not permitted and so far I have never seen the maid son inside my house at all. I know the son stops by to see the maid during the weekdays but the son stays at the house gate he never comes inside, and the mtoehr always receive him at the gate not inside my house. So my brother believes that the maid son enters my house and goes to his room to steal things without me or mom seeing there is a stranger inside the house. Common that is one stupid theory but my brother thinks it could be a possibility to understand why his things get stolen or dissapear at home.

My brother even had a notehr theory that i found it far fetch. He believes that my mom goes to his room to take out the money where he has the money and give it to the maid. I mean how can he even think that!!! My mo barely goes to my brother room for anything. My mom is elder and in the past my mom did lie to us about some money debts she had so she hide things so from taht moment many years ago. My brother sometimes say he does not trust mom, even if he cares for her.
