I'm redecrating/ redoing a few things in my room but I can't use much money so any ideas on making decorations?

Im currently in my Masters in Architecture, and studied interior design, and there are some fun hacks you can do. Im a broke student, and was able to redesign my studio/room for cheap.

For adding furniture, I love going to thrift stores, or garage sales. I often look for things that are wood, but plastic will suffice too. I then grab some paint that can be used on the piece (there are different types of paints for wood, plastic, etc. ) these you can find at any hardware store, walmart (sometimes), some dollar stores, and hobby stores (but those are more expensive). Also make sure you have some sandpaper to prep the surface for paint. Its a really fun process because you can chose the colour palette, the patterns etc.
Also removable wallpaper is really great. Its cheap, its easy to apply and remove, and it doesn't damage the wall. You just need to measure your space first, which you can do with a measuring tape or laser measure.
I would also look at your local furniture/decor stores and see what sales they have going on. Kijiji and amazon are also great for getting cheap things like fairy lights, lamp shades, mirrors, etc.

My best recommendation tho, is to watch youtube videos of what others have done to redo their space. There are some really great advice they may have, such as how to transform furniture, how to apply wallpaper, how to make your space look larger, etc.

There is no cheap place anymore. At my Church there are always Grandmothers or wives looking to clear out and throw away. Christians usually maintain home items very well. Have you thought about engaging the "Women of the Church" for NICE but get rid of Room decorations?

Find materials that are being given away. Recycle them.
