Should I keep my ornaments for a future apartment or declutter now?

Will I see a point in them all of a sudden, once I have my own space in which to decorate? I intend to find work next year and move into my own rented apartment. If I can afford it.

I keep the things I love. We spent over $15,000 just shipping our music collection from the USA to Australia because we didn't want to part with anything. The rest of our belongings were another enormous expense, but it was worth every dime spent.
