Yes, being really into one certain type of music affects your attractiveness in the sense that you will only attract certain TYPES of girls based on your tastes and preferences.
-- If you like Mozart (who she can't stand) and she likes Alice in Chains (who you can't stand), you're in a bit of a jam.
-- If you're able to discuss the Romantic classicists and she just wants to show you her latest body piercing, you're in a bit of a jam...
-- If you have to sell your piano for a motorcycle... you see where I'm going with this?
Find a nice girl who appreciates and compliments your tastes, goals, and so on.

I'd find someone who listens to classical more attractive than someone who listens to rap or hip hop. But music doesn't really matter to much, except that it's awesome when we have the same taste in music. So for me it's really attractive when a guy listens to rock.
It depends on his attitude about. If he's proud of his music taste and knows what he likes, that would only make me respect him more and raise his attractiveness. If he's ashamed for example, because he likes classical music, that'd be unattractive for me.
Pertaining to your example, it depends on the classical. Like, when someone says they like classical music, I become much much more attentive of their tastes than I would if they liked pop music or glam rock or something. Because classical music is a genre so often abused by teenagers who wanna seem refined. As good as are the composers such as Mozart and Beethoven, I see them as 'Entry level', and if their level of knowledge extends no further than that, I'd tut and roll my eyes and dislike them very much.
Buuuuut if a boy happened to like Philip Glass I'd let him come all over me, or whatever =D
I wondered the same thing. I'm sure classical is not a turn off since it's widely accepted. But if you're like me and listen to Deicide one second and Bubbleman from Megaman 2 I'm sure it's a turn off. Cleverly placed bleeps/bloops is not cool and depending on the crowd, roaring is not appealing.

Classical, techno, metal, and vocaloid are my favorites so definitely a turn on! What I find unattractive is a guy who likes rap and or top 40. Blech! Just go away before you infect me with bad taste in music, you know? It is ever-important. I want uncommen men. "normal" just never cuts it.
Nope, someone's taste should never affected another's level of attraction. And aside from that, I'd be very attracted to someone who enjoyed classical music. It's shows that they have a greater appreciation for things like music and hopefully art :)
I am a pianist and I love classical music if a guy appreciates classical music it makes him a whole lot more interesting
No it infact intensifies his attractiveness.
Not to mention that it's very rare.Whoever complains about my obsession with Classical Music is immediately eradicated from my life.
Well, I don't really care. I think it would be cool if he showed me some of his favorite songs and bands.
to me music makes no difference in how attractive a guy is
it does not. music is personal and it doens't matter to me what he listens to. maybe he can introduce me to some bands I don't know
No. I love classical music.
It doesn't matter.
