It's... a weird thing. Sort of.
Scotland, England, Wales and North Ireland are countries, that make up the UK, which is... I think just called a union? I'm not sure.

  Nope scotland WAS a country UNTIL 1707. The fact someone edited wikipedia, and won the edit war, to use the word "country" does not change history. It just serves to show wikkpedia is a fraud pretending to be "information " but it is just agenda.

  UK consists of 4 pieces that are called countries inside it. If they 4 are countries, then UK is not a country, unlike USA, which is a country.
