If I glue two cats back to back, whose feet do they land on when dropped?

Everyone knows if you drop a cat it always lands on it's feet. But what would happen if I glued two cats back to back and dropped them? How do they decide whose feet to land on or do they just keep spinning and never land?

Well, toast always lands butter side down, so I tried strapping a piece of toast to a cat, and they just floated in mid-air.

They kept spinning there, faster and faster, until they sucked in all of reality, and imploded (sorry about that). I imagine two cats would be similar, but with a lot more angry meows.

I tried it this morning. I glued our cats together and threw them out of the window. Unfortunately I had omitted to check whether there was any traffic; they hit the ground just as a bus was passing and it was impossible to tell from their remains which order they'd landed in.

Cats will make sure the rule of landing on their feet survives. So, here's what should happens:

Cat A lands on its feet, Cat B has its feet up in the air

Cat A jumps up into the air and the two cats do a roll so that Cat B has its feet pointing downward

Cat B lands on its feet, Cat A has its feet up in the air.

So, the rule is saved... Cats are smart, you know.
