Get a big stick, tie a rope to the end of it in a noose.
Then hold it out to put it around the dogs neck.
Then make sure the fucker does drown by pushing on the stick thus keeping it under water until it drowns.
The trick works on people too...
Seriously though, if something is struggling in water, it's natural to help it out.

Puppies know how to swim... they are natural swimmers. However if he gets out of breath then I will save it and take it to a vet, he is going to be my son since then.

I'll believe it when I see it. They have a lot more energy than you think. I've seen a puppy swim across an entire lake and back through alligator infested waters. I'd say it was a good half mile round trip and it got out on shore and ran home afterward.
