Literally just dropped almost $5,500 TODAY on my car. Probably shorter to tell you what wasn’t wrong with it lmao. So…went in for a check engine light and rough braking. 3rd cylinder was blown in the engine. As for the brakes, they were warped and needed to be fixed. The cause of the warping was from a fluid leak in the steering column, so the rack & pinion had to be replaced. Additionally, the timing belt was due for replacement. And all four tires were bald. Throw in a side marker light that was out, and an oil change…brutal.
Damn what kind of car
I had to get complete breaks all the way around and a new exhaust manifold. The brakes, for pads and rotors and labor came out to I think it was $937. The manifold for parts and labor came out to about $500.
Got my ball joints done, but it wasn't the issue. 😅
I think they were like $60 each then about that for labor.
Had to get all new tires last week. They cost 520. Which is actually pretty cheap for tires I think 🤔
Not cheap not expensive

A number of 'em. Which is necessary to pass... State inspection, I think. (i live in Sweden, so I tried to guess the English term)
The Handbrake wire, Brake Caliper+Pads, and Suspension Spring. All on the rear-left wheel.
Might need to do the same on the opposite side too.
At the moment, the total cost is unknown.
I got new tires for my 2013 Nissan Versa late last year after 60k miles. I think it was around $400 or so. I can't remember exactly. Nothing has ever broke on it though. It is an awesome car! :) Of course I have taken good care of it since I got it new.
I had a lug nut disappear. Cost me about $8 for the replacement. All the others were fine, which makes me think it was some loser who needed one for his own vehicle and was too cheap to go to Autozone. Also the morons at Valvoline over torqued and stripped out most of the retainers for the cover under my engine compartment, so the parts were about $15 but it took me about an hour to extract the old retainers.
Other than routine maintenance, not much has been needed. The only things I've had to replace are tires, windshield wipers and brakes. The tires cost $400, the wipers were $50, and the brakes were $250.
My last fix was leaving it to my ex.
(The bank re-possessed it later :D )
To me it was for free, heh heh.
Since then I enjoy my freedom on motorcycles exclusively.
The tie rods, I think it was somewhere into the $500-600 range, but I can't remember for sure.
Wing mirror, some fucker broke it off driving past. Cost me like $200
A new tire for an SUV for about $170 and a pair of wipers for $60.
Nothing yet mine is still under warranty bought it brand new last summer
I broke the side mirror on my truck and since it was new I bought the factory replacement for almost 5 hundred dollars
Last thing was the radiator. Think it cost about $900
I changed the ignition control module, rotor, and cap on my distributor. The parts cost about $60
Fixed the oil leak at the valve cover and the oil pan. Gaskets costed almost nothing.
A wiring fault and it cost about 30p (35 cents) for a new connector and about an hour to diagnose, trace and repair.
I have not had to fix anything on my car lol since I got it new in 2019
Nothing at all? Not even brakes
No lol it's been fine maybe a taken it in for a few recalls and replacing the AC filters but it's been intact for awhile now and no I change out my brake fluid so I have seen no wore out of my brake pads or rotars or brakes in general. I have only had it for 3 years nothing is suppose to happen yet hahaha I even moved from Central Cali to SoCal which is 3-4 hours and no problems yet. So don't be tryna jinx me lolol
When I drove a Hyundai before that I barely had any issues with that vehicle as well. Just replacing the starter & a few electrical issues & replaced the back brakes and for the 6 years I had it I barely had any problems.
And when I drove a Cheby everything was breaking apart and ni hate the fuck out of Chevy it was q peice of nothing I spent over 3k for that car and I will never do that again.
