It's not what most would call morbid, since the idea behind it is understanding the mindset, but I DO have a fascination with totalitarian propaganda. I'm probably the only person you'll ever hear say this, but I have a favorite Nazi poster.

It was made against the Swingjugend, a German subculture that emerged between the wars. Their big was swing dancing, and it was HUGE among teenagers and young adults; the name literally means "swing kids". Many of those young people were the children of the German aristocracy, and this infuriated the Nazi leadership, who wanted these kids in the Hitler Youth, and instead they were doing American dances to music made by black people. So they made a poster (well, several, but this is my favorite) condemning it. The image has been reused time and again, and this isn't the original text (obviously), but you can see it better here:

A black man in a tuxedo (with a Star of David lapel pin, because, you know, Nazis; gotta draw attention to all those Jews in the world of jazz!), a top hat positioned rakishly over one eye, playing a saxophone with such dramatic intensity that he's physically leaning into it.

You look at it and think "This is supposed to make the music look LESS cool?".

maybe some would call it a morbid fascination, but I would not... I do have two fascinations, blood... and blades, some think it is morbid when the both meet... it is not, lol...
