Would you move to a new home based on your favorite restaurant or store being across the street from it? Which type of home would you choose?

Say you were moving into a new home, either a temporary apartment (like I do here in South Korea), or an actual house you're going to buy.

You got three options: The best home, but isolated and in the middle of nowhere (as far as shopping goes, not people) in a lame neighborhood. The second best home that has one place you kinda like nearby, but not much else. And the least best home, but it's directly across the street from your favorite restaurant and one block away from a chain of stores you frequently love going to, making it an ideal neighborhood, but least preferred home out of the three.

Which one would you choose?

The best home out of the options, but you don't like the neighborhood and it's far away from all of the places you'd shop or eat at.

A decent-but-smaller home that is good enough for you, and it's directly across the street from your FAVORITE restaurant! As well as within walking distance of a bunch of other great stores you'd often go to, as well.

The third option: The second best home that's only a half-mile away from a somewhat decent restaurant you like and MAY go to now and then, but nothing else good nearby.

I'd choose the one near places I like to go. Actually I am considering moving to a different state in the middle of next year and one of the things I did to determine what city I would like to move to was find one that had most of the places I like to go to.

It has BestBuy, Target, Taco Bell, Pizza Hut, KFC, GameStop, Home Depot, WinCo, a hobby store for board games and table top RPGs, Sportsman's Warehouse, Little Cesar's, a Nissan dealership/service location for my car, etc. It has pretty much all the places I would use.

In the US, I rarely ever went to fast food places because so many food options were available, and going to Pizza Hut, McDonalds, or Taco Bell would be like a once every three or four months kind of thing. But here in South Korea, since Korean food f*cking SUCKS and there's only a few American chains here (Burger King, McDonalds, KFC, Pizza Hut, Dominos, and Subway), I now miss some of these places, especially Taco Bell and Wendy's!

When I was getting my Masters, we had a Wendy's on campus and I'd get the Four for $4 meal every other Thursday after finishing my classes. I worked overnights and when I got off work at 7am, Taco Bell would be opening and Taco Bell's breakfast menu... DUDE! I don't even like most of Taco Bell's main menu, but their f*cking breakfast menu was some of the best fast food I've ever eaten!





So if this was still in the US, I wouldn't care about the food. But considering Korean food is horrible, yes, I'd move to an apartment JUST to be able to go to Taco Bell easily. Maybe I'd choose option C though, as others are valid in that living that close to your favorite restaurant wouldn't be healthy for you.

No. I'd want those restaurants to be far enough away that I almost don't feel like going even once per week.

I go to different supermarkets within the week, so to have them all close to where I live would be great and would save me time walking.

Nah. I don't want to live in the city at all anyway 😭😂. I'd rather make the drive to get food and shop than be smack dab in the middle of the hustle and bustle of a city.

Lol yes they do low caliber people be outside of restaurants all the time begging for money. It doesn't matter what area you could even be in Calabasas and there would be bums up there begging lol when I use to go eat fast food and other places I use to see people outside telling me they need gas money and they need money to get to another city or they need money and if incan please buy them a meal hahaha now think about living infront of that hahahaha

Move to a new home just to be near a restaurant or store. Not likely to happen. I prefer to live out of town where it is quiet.
