If you could live in any state in the United States what state would you choose to live in and why?

California, because it has so much to offer with different places to visit, a great climate that is not humid nor too hot, and beautiful scenery. Very expensive but you make more there too.

Income tax in CA goes up to 13%, high crime, more homeless, more drugs, very bad k-12 education system, 117 degrees in the summer in the Central Valley last summer. CA is terrible.

@HighValue 1% property tax non-increasing, crime is NOT high, homeless stay in specific areas, we have good drugs, public schools suck but we don't use them, central valley is home to all the MAGA people so the rest of us don't care about the temp there. California is GREAT

If I had to move to the United States of America, I would choose to live in California. It has a nice climate and I have a feeling that I would fit in.

Idaho. I am a straight White Christian man so obviously I am often hated just for existing in California. I am against recreational drug use, I don't approve of promiscuity (it is a felony in Idaho for a married person to cheat), low crime, low homelessness, low pollution, lower cost of living, state income tax for me would be 6% there instead of 12% in California for teachers' salary, and I like their education system more. I also like that pay raises in Idaho for teachers is based on performance and seniority, instead of CA that is based on seniority and not performance so in CA regardless of how badly someone does the job, they still get raises.

I completely agree! My husband has been fishing in the boundary waters, and noted that the mosquitoes can get pretty heavy in that particular area. I've never been to Michigan, so I can't fully relate. Seems like a great choice :-)

Michigan a reasonable pick, especially if can have a summer/winter house. lots of space, a nice lake chock full of white fish, and best pie we've had in Traverse City. Not likely to be on Russia's "blow it up" list.

Well I can tell you from Personal experiwnce Washington ain't all what it seems haha it looks nice buts it's not nice between all. the homeless build up in a cold region and drug attic zombi3e everywhere. I would run far away from there. Ofc West WA is always just alil better but Central WA and East WA are horrible areas to live hahaha
