guys if you prefer to live neither of the two cities please dont bother to add opinions , im not here to see whether you want to live or not , just wanted to know which one would you choose if you had to

Maybe New York but due to lack of experience. I lived in LA and worked in Hollywood for a good while. I did not like many of the people I met that much. You know like that uptight type that drives some environment-friendly car and gives you an earful when you order rice about how it's not really very good for you. I don't click with those. Some of the people I got along with best in the US as far as states go are Texans. I might do better with New Yorkers at least.

Also, this is nit-picky but I don't like people who talk with a nasal voice. That hardly describes all people I dealt with in places like Burbank but I encountered a lot, and it comes across kind of feminine and sarcastic to me, and I find a matching personality there more often than not which I don't get along with. I like those who speak with a more hearty and guttural sound. I really like Texans. But one of my friends is a New Yorker. I like her a lot. Not sure if that's true of the general experience since I've spent very little time in New York. I just know I don't like L. A. all that much.

The traffic is so horrible in L. A. too. I suspect it's just as bad probably in NYC but my stereotypical impression is that NYC people at least have balls.

Might depend on which part of LA too. I spent the most time around Burbank and Hollywood Blvd since I worked for the film industry. I did spend some time in places like Compton and liked it much better.

Having lived in nyc I’d pick LA. I’d never willingly live in LA but of these two I’d pick LA.
