Tequila, by yourself?

I've only ever enjoyed tequila shots with company... you gather your friends, you start the shot process, you're in it together... i think doing the shots by yourself is awkward!

My girlfriend doesn't do tequila, however is questioning why I don't have a shot of it, while she has something else... she doesn't understand that I like sharing the shot with friends and good company...

How do you feel about tequila shots, is it best with company, awkward by yourself?

People can drink tequila any way they want. I know the "tradition" of doing shots as a group, and I've done it myself. But that is college mentality more than anything. For that matter, shots of anything is college mentality.

As far as I'm concerned everyone should have their own drink and drink at their own pace, or not drink at all.

To be honest, I almost always drink by myself. I don't really like drinking with other people. If I'm socializing I prefer to have my shit together and not be influenced by alcohol. I don't mind having 1-2 drinks with others, but no more than that.
