Tequila! That’s the drink I can never have again, due to becoming violently sick from it in my younger years. Do you have a drink or food?

Today at the airport bar, a sexy woman sitting next to me was drinking Tequila. The smell made me so nauseous, I had to move! I also can’t eat onion rings for similar reasons. On a side note, I do find a woman pounding shots at nine in the morning sexy AF!

I don't get sick from it, but my stomach doesn't like them: Onion rings. And I'm staying away from spicy, minty, and very acidic (think raw oranges, lemons, and pineapple) foods still. But I'm wanting to try this one mint cookie dough ice cream from Walmart and maybe eat the one mint brownie blizzard from DQ in March. Not sure if the mint will do anything to me but I'll risk it just that once. My mom can't have tequila because it gives her bad headaches and makes her sick. And one of my sisters can't have sangria because it gives her heartburn. I haven't found an alcoholic drink that makes me sick yet.

I can’t even look at peanuts without feeling nauseous! When I was little, I ate an entire jar of them and threw up something terrible! Lol Alcohol in general doesn’t agree with me but beer DEFINITELY doesn’t agree with me. In reference to your side note. A woman doing shots at 9am isn’t sexy, she’s a drunk! 😉

The same thing happened to me with wine. In the later half of my teens, I would go to parties. Kids would get hold of big jugs of those terrible wine drinks like Spanada, Boone's Farm, Strawberry Hill, etc.

Being a stupid kid, I thought the point of drinking was to get drunk.
Anyway, I got unbelievably sick on crap like that quite a few times and had terrible hangovers.

Eventually, the very smell of wine reminded me of that stuff and revolted me.

Many years later, a friend introduced me to quality late-harvest wines. I never tasted anything so delicious. I gradually started tasting other wines, beginning with some light, French white wines.

Over time, I came to love good wine and now prefer bold reds. I don't drink alcohol very often, but I do love the occasional quality red wine and even going to wine tastings.

I get the absolute worst hangovers from wine! It’s so hard to catch a buzz from it, that I actually start getting a hangover while I’m drinking it. My wife rarely drinks but will have a glass of wine every now and then and pour me a glass, by the end of the night, I’ll drink the whole bottle and have a splitting headache and not even be buzzed. No, I’m not an alcoholic! At least I don’t think I am. When I was young, MD 20/20 was a big thing.

Anything alcohol! In high school I had two beers and my stomach was feeling sick, so one of my friends gave me a cigarette and said it would soothe my stomach. It was a lie! I coughed so hard, I started throwing up! It was disgusting. I can no longer eat butter pecan ice cream either.

Tanguray. When I was in Texas years ago, they didn’t have Korbel, so someone told me to try Tanguray and tonic. I got so sick off that shit! It tasted like I was throwing up a Christmas tree.

When I was in high school I got really drunk. I puked in the bathroom of the local McDonalds. I may have been in there for an hour or more, with my head in the toilet bowl. Ever since that long ago night I get nauseous everything I go into McDonalds. I am okay with Burger King and Wendys.

I ended up starting with Jack since I didn't know any other brands. Me: "I'd like to try a shot of whiskey, neat." Bartender: "What type?" Me: "Uhh.. Jack Daniels? [I didn't know anything else]". Then I tried it and was like, "Blecht! Is this how whiskey tastes?" Then I got used to it and drank mostly Jack for a good while until I started trying some better other whiskeys including fin Bourbon and Scotch and then thought, "Geez! Everything tastes better than Jack! Why was this ever so popular?"

We have some ultra-cheap ghetto whiskey here in Japan like Black Nikka and Tory's Classic. I can get 750ml bottle for less than 700 yen (less than $5 USD). Still tastes better than Jack!

I was more of a Scotch fan although quit drinking completely in recent months. I never learned how to stop drinking and moderating once I started so I figured I just need to stop drinking outright.
