Why do smokers throw their cigarette butts out of the window of their car?

On my drive to work today in 45 mins I seen 11 people do this plus at almost every interaction with traffic lights there are cigarette butts everywhere.. do these these people have no respect?

Smoking is fundamentally selfish. You're exposing others to carcinogens. Some smokers are more considerate, but many are not. I hate how much smoke I am exposed to on a daily basis from others. But if you say something, they act like you're an insane busybody.

The WORLD is their ashtray!! I never smoked yet, I'm ALWAYS finding buts in my front yard!!
No, they have no respect!! Another problem, however, is that they also have no ashtrays in the car! They stopped installing them at least 20 years ago.

Sure does! An empty drinks cup, or just get a small plastic ashtray and keep it in rhe car in the cup holder.
