Which of these cars is your favorite out of them?
The problem is not their association with "appliance companies" - the problem is their association with chavvy boy-racers who play Grand Turismo and watch Fast and the Furious.
The Japanese manufacturers probably have a better image than the ones you went with anyway. Audis are just tarted up Volkswagens (or Skodas, or SEATs). Ferraris and McLarens are for guys having a midlife crisis. BMWs and Astons are for even older men to drive to the golf club (case in point: https://www.bmw-golfsport.com/en/topics/tickets-shops/shop.html ). And so on...02 Reply- +1 y
Among every genuine car enthusiast, appliance companies ( *cough* Toyota *cough* Honda *cough* Nissan *cough* Mazda *cough* and more *cough* ) have infinitely worse reputations than actual car manufacturers like BMW, Rolls Royce, Ferrari, McLaren, Aston Martin, etc.
Literally every "car" made by the aforementioned appliance companies serve no purpose other than transportation, which is something car enthusiasts hate since it automatically disqualifies them from being actual cars and relegates them to appliance status. Said appliances are slow, ugly, lame, spartan, and boring, all at the same time, which is why genuine car enthusiasts loathe said appliances and avoid them like plagues.
BMW, Rolls Royce, Ferrari, McLaren, Aston Martin, etc are actual car manufacturers. Their cars all fit in either one or more of the qualifications necessary for to be a car: fast, fun, beautiful, luxurious, and/or cool.
So, considering that the options in the poll are actual cars and not appliances, which companies would make those cars: some appliance companies who give car enthusiasts a middle finger every time they make their appliances (the former) or actual car manufacturers who have massive respects for genuine car enthusiasts (the latter)? It's common logic. - +1 y
I suppose it depends on what you mean by "actual car enthusiasts" - if you mean "you, and perhaps schoolboys who are too young to drive but want something to put a poster of on their bedroom wall, then fine. You could also include Russians/Arabs, who have no understanding of class/taste, and just like shiny expensive things (expensive luxury cars are inherently uncool).
If you mean "actual car *driving* enthusiasts" then definitely not.
Most know that the best Japanese cars have always been better. A modern Lexus LFA (Toyota) or Nissan GTR would be quicker around a track than any BMW or Audi. Before them, it was Subaru Imprezas and Mitsubishi Evos that were quicker than contemporary supercars.
And as I say, with modern examples, it's all about brand engineering anyway - excluding recent electric car startups and obscure Chinese companies, there are really only about 10 major manufacturers left, due to the amount of brand consolidation that has occurred. Most of the time, if you buy a luxury car you're just paying for the tacky leather interior and the badge on the front.

Nissan Z As for me to be honest I don’t like any of them but if I had to settle I would pick the NISSAN Z.
03 Reply- +1 y
It's very disgraceful to associate a nice car like the Z with an appliance company like Nissan. It's best renamed "Porsche Z" instead as an honor of being an actual car (at least either one of fast, fun, luxurious, beautiful, or cool; the Porsche Z fits in with fun, beautiful, and cool).

I VOTED G for the Nissan & that is a Nissan symbol on the hood of the vehicle.

+1 yI’m not a car guy per se. If any one of them is all-wheel-drive, that’s my pick. If more than one is AWD, i’ll take the one with maximum ground clearance. If there’s a tie between the two, i need a test drive. Ell oh ell!

@Redstang88 sorry did I touch a nerve?

I just don’t understand it. Drive a big truck, got a fast car and loud bike and am certainly not lacking. I just don’t feel the need to insult others for their hobbies simply because I’m not interested
- +1 y
@Redstang88 sure its a joke with maybe “some” truths. You seem more hurt by it, which usually means its true for you.
- +1 y
Have to do a lot better than that to hurt my feelings. Just annoyed and genuinely confused why you people need to try to insult people for having an interest in vehicles
Maybe you’re the one projecting here… - +1 y
@Redstang88 you guys try to insult and fck over libs all the time. So maybe have perspective.
- +1 y
I only have issue with people that want to fuck with my life. People mind their own business and we’ll have no problems
And what makes you think an interest in cars is exclusive to conservatives? Maybe if you’re entire identity wasn’t your damn politics you wouldn’t be such a twat - +1 y
@Redstang88 oh like anti abortionists? Anti trans? You got selective blinders, my friend.

What makes you think I give a rats ass about what other people do with their private lives? Live and let live, so long as you leave me the fuck alone

@Redstang88 i love when conservatives deny their beleifs when cornered.
- +1 y
@Redstang88 ignore him. He probably drives some appliance from an appliance company disguised as a car manufacturer (Toyota, Honda, Mazda, Nissan, Mitsubishi, etc), which is why he is offended by the existence of genuine car enthusiasts; those who like cars from actual car manufacturers (Rolls Royce, Ferrari, Lamborghini, Aston Martin, Lamborghini, McLaren, etc).
