+1 yI don't do a lot of dangerous thing to be honest. I would have to say the most dangerous would be scuba dive. It isn't even really about the animals that you might encounter either. It is about the dangers of doing the wrong thing when you are depending on an oxygen tank to survive.
If you don't know what you are doing, you can get quite sick. You have to know your decompression stops and for how long. Plus, if you miscalculate, there is no quick getting out of the water to breathe when you are way down there.
The most dangerous part of it (that those things contribute to) is kind of getting lost in another world. You are so busy looking at things, it is easy to forget what you need to be doing and pay attention to.
Sure, dive computers help a lot, but even those you can forget about. Ascend too quick and you are in some trouble. This is all stuff you learn when you SHOULD take your diver certification. If you don't do it enough though, you can forget steps.
I venture the most dangerous thing for you is a crowd.

If you go and get certified, you would be fine. Generally, you are with a group that includes a dive instructor/professional when you go out and do it, especially the first time in the ocean.
You are pretty much following what everyone else does. It is when you go and do it on your own that you really need to pay attention. People always think it is dangerous because of sharks or other things in the ocean.
Those tend to really not bother you. Just bump them in the nose and they go away. At least, that has been my experience where I have done it. Proper decompression is the biggest thing. You can get horribly sick if you don't do it right. - +1 y
u +1 y@PrettyPriya. That's fantastic! Since I live in a landlocked part of the country it would take a lot of travel to get to an ocean for any good diving.

@exitseven safety or decompression stoops should be every 20 feet or so if you get your diver certification. My deepest dive is about 100 feet or roughly 35 meters +/-

@PrettyPriya To get certified I had to do a 100 foot dive and had 3 decompression stops.

Riding around on the roofs of cars in high school, stepping off the back of a moving scooter on acid and hitting my head on the street (vision went completely white), rolling my '73 Blazer and getting ejected from the vehicle (truck almost rolled on top of me and I also almost broke my neck), hiking through canyons next to cliffs at night on acid and almost falling 100 feet onto rocks the size of cars, driving from Los Angeles to Seattle going 100 mph the whole way, running from the police for speeding out of state by going 150 mph down a hill in a 33 year old car that has no business going that fast in the late 90's, fighting more than one person at a time instead of running more times than I should have, being white and walking through the worst neighborhood in Tijuana at 3 in the morning back in 1999, sitting in the bar I work at protecting the bosses mom with a shotgun while looters tore apart the auto parts store next door during the riots because she didn't make it out in time, fighting 2 drunk 300 pound cholos that attacked me on the way home after working 13 hours in a kitchen on Thanksgiving night, riding my bike drunk down a hill and landing on my head (memory loss concussion) drinking and boxing like 10 people in a row with no mouthpiece, lots of stupid fights, lots of bicycle crashes, going into the wrong bar full of Mexican cocaine cowboys and staying until they were all staring at us like we weren't going to make it out alive because my friend was dancing with their hottest girl, lots of freeway racing above 100 mph, going 40 mph on a mountain bike down a mountain underneath a ski lift and crashing (cracked my hip)

When I was younger I think I was looking to die if I'm honest. Some friends & I met this girl from Alaska & had this bright idea of driving down to the airport & picking her up. Was a long 4 hour drive across the state border. I took a 10-strip of acid & my other friends took some as well before leaving.
I have no idea how we lived through that one but we did. The amazing thing was we didn't get pulled over until we got back; was going 60 down a 30 because we thought we were still on the interstate when we were actually on the main drag in town. Only one of us was arrested, a friend named Adam cause he had a warrant & the cops let the rest of us go.
We took turns driving & I know for a fact something was looking out for me that night. I still think about it at times & am amazed.

+1 yI have driven long distance completely solo. As in I have gone to another state alone. No one riding with me, no one sharing the driving. Just me driving the whole way alone - there AND back.
I have walked at night alone. Granted that was a bit "easier" to do considering it was a short walk to my car and the area wasn't super sketch. But, regardless, it IS indeed dangerous these days, especially as a female.
I have met up with random guys I've met via dating apps. I will say one actually did turn out very well. We ended up being together a good while before it took a turn and we separted. With the others, they just did not pan out and nothing ever came from it. One guy in particular was a bit loopy. Thankfully, I didn't get physically harmed or anything.
Flew in an airplane. Yeah, tons of people do this daily, but for me personally, I am not too into flying. I know it is said to be safer than driving and less risky as far as crashes go, but I was still super nervous something would happen (get hijacked, crash, etc.) We did hit some turbulence at one point and I FREAKED lol I thinking to myself omfg... THIS IS IT. WE'RE GOING DOWN! Luckily, it was all good. Safe, relatively uneventful flight.

I learned that he was a respectful dude and many mooonths later we even ended up together and he was kinda part of my life for 3 years but well this could have gone totally wrong...11 Reply- +1 y
Oh and once I went alone to an abandoned little airplane place, that night was so dark that I couldn't even see my hand in front of me lol I heard something and got really scared and found my way back

for some fucked up reason I climbed a tree and couldn’t get back down “safely” so I started to sway the tree back and forth until it got close to another tree with branches…and I jumped to the other tree. I was about 20’ up. No one knew where I was or what I was doing.

+1 yI guess, it was when I went swimming in the river and nearly drowned. I didn't know it but, where I went in it was a 10 foot deep drop and I was only about 7 or 8 and still couldn't swim very well. I would've drowned had one of the older kids there not spotted me and jumped in to save me.

We jumped at 800 feet. The chute opens at 400 feet after jumping. Sometimes it was scary. I had a friend that forgot to take out his nipple rings before the jump. When his chute opened, ripped both of them out. Lol

+1 yShark dive (no cage). However, I think the sea snakes were far more dangerous than the sharks.
12 Reply- +1 y
@spartan55 No cage. They were lemon sharks which are more docile. It was a group dive and we were careful to not look like food. 😂 it was pretty eerie seeing them up close! Seeing the sea snakes swimming past on the surface was scarier in my opinion.

I hiked 3 hours out to the floe and it got dark. I had to hike back in pitch black through the lava fields right next to sheer cliffs 100’s of feet above the ocean. I had only a penlight. I felt the ocean breeze on my face a couple scary times and could have fallen into a cave. I almost destroyed by boots before I got back. 🤣 I had to stop and sleep I was so exhausted cause the terrain was soooooo bad. But I made it bloody feet and all
