The anonymity of the site allows lunatics to join and post without much fear of anything other than getting blocked or, in some cases, banned. Then they return with new accounts. I just choose to focus upon people who at least seem to be asking legitimate questions. Even when I completely disagree with them, most of them are respectful. Those who aren't? Easy to ignore, or to block if they get obnoxious.
