Why does this site attract lot of strange people?

I see lot of weird men and women on here. I am worrying a bit that I am out of touch with reality in that people in real life are really this messed up.

Because the true reality of it all is this whole world is filled with weird , fucked up , strange people , we are all fucked up one way or another , None of us are perfect , we are all imperfect people, you as well. No matter what we do in life , we are always going to be judged or criticized by others. Life is 2 sides of a coin , you can choose to be good or bad , happy or sad , etc. This isn't the only site , with strange people , trust me on that. So what’s normal to you , might not be normal to someone Else.. Why it’s best to surround yourself with people that are on the same page as yourself and distance yourself from the ones that aren’t. That’s all we can do , on this fucked up planet we live on Society has gone to hell in a hand basket for the most part , I pretty much blame social media for contributing a big part on that. In general are selfish people , that only think about what is best for themselves , we all have selfishness in us Learning to remove that selfishness is the hard part that most people have a hard time grasping because It’s pretty much their way or no way. If people stopped pointing fingers at each other and started pointing fingers at themselves first , this world would be a much better place , but sadly most people don’t grasp that concept , because it’s whatever is best for themselves. If you ever want to fall in love , you have to learn to remove selfishness, if you can’t , then don’t be surprised when you are dumped or cheated on constantly , only you can choose what is best for yourself and only you can choose how to treat someone else. Love only comes from 2 people that choose each other over everyone else , if you can’t choose your partner, don’t expect them to choose you period

Well, Constance, you are 'singing to the choir" when you ask that. I have had some responses from people on this site, (most usually from women) and I make no apologies for saying that, ... that would make anyone cringe.

These were persons that I never had any verbal contact with, and to this day, have no understanding of WHY they would say what they did?

A woman attacked me and said she "Hated me", and I was a 'pervert" etc, etc, etc. She made some idiot comment about my profile picture, and went on and on.

So to answer your question, I have no idea what attracts mentally ill persons to this site. I can assure you that I am a normal, sane individual who lives a normal life, and have no more "kinks' than many of the other normal people here.

Most people are strange, but the internet gives them an anonymous platform to shed some of their costumes and let their weirdness out for a trial run.


People are scared to not conform to cultural norms, to stand out from the crowd defies ingrained survival instinct. On the internet though, our “handles” are disposable. If the exposed feeling or thought proves to be unwelcome or unacceptable, the person can disappear safely.


I would argue that the internet has a higher propensity to share true feelings and reality than any in-person event. Especially in a crowd.

While I agree it doesn't bother me that much. Because when I first came here I thought I had problems. Then I saw a lot of the people that were on this site and I realized, "I don't have problems... THEY HAVE PROBLEMS". Then I felt so much better about myself.🤣

I just got done reading this post by this FAT anon pink complaining about how guys didn't like FAT girls. And I tried to help her. And what does she do? She insults me for it.😆 I mean she's still angry and still FAT.

You do what you can. You just try to help those you can. Thise you can help. You just got to roll your eyes and move on with the ones you can't. Some people just want to be angry and lash out. You can't let in ruin you peace.

People need help and they look for places that can help them. A lot of the "strange" could be attributed to not being taught by parents or school how to approach situations appropriately. And now they realize that they are not certain if what they are doing is right or if they are understanding a situation correctly.

Imagine being invisible in the real world. You have no power or significance. Then you become an unpaid moderator on a site like this. You can now make or break people, and you answer to NO ONE.

I can totally see "strange" people wanting in on that strange power.

Incorrect , the difference is in which environment can people honestly express a view , its the same on any site , and who is to classify " weird " anyhow , its like using the word " normal " , there are some very intelligent people here , and plenty just " taking the piss " , you learn what to avoid , its purely a representative community.
Words like " Normal " " Crazier " " Weird " , are all subjective , because in essence there is no such thing.
