How many snakes do you see in your neighbourhood every day?

In the time frame of 11:45 AM to 2:00 PM, we see two snakes regularly. Both of them are brown. One is more than 2 meters long and the other one is around 1 meter long.

They just chill in the sun and then go back to the ground afterwards. They are a common occurrence now.

So... anything you can tell?

I rarely see them but I hear them. I sleep in the basement and the windows are at ground level. Snakes move around the perimeter of the house and "tap" on the windows. I don't know if they sense the heat, or if they are like most animals and glass windows confuse them. Or maybe they are trying to climb the wall, and it just happens to be a window.

This used to be a lot more common. There are not nearly as many snakes today. I think maybe the hawks got them.

closest I ever see to that, around here... are these two neighbors fighting (arguing) about once a month, and one of them calls the other one something like that lol "viborona!!"which means... fat ass snake

Hardly any. Just the occasional one every few months. But a couple of days ago i nearly run over a medium sized one while driving. Thankfully it was fast af and managed to escape my front tyre.

They don’t like the neighborhood here. They stick to the mountains or the parks. Have to check the grass before playing fetch with your dogs. Baby rattlers are extremely dangerous.

I've never seen a snake in the wild here, only a few slow worms.

I rarely see a snake where I live. If I do it's a little Gardner snake which isn't deadly

I have never seen a stray snake near any hike I’ve ever been in.
