Does anyone else constantly lose their stuff or am I just a special kinda stupid?

So I have lost my wallet for the umpteenth time, I lost my phone last weekend and just got a new one a couple days ago. 🙃 this is like the third phone I’ve lost. I lost my last one a couple of times but always ended up finding it again. I called it my lucky phone but its luck ran out. 😭 I’m sure my wallet will turn up somewhere stupid after I replace all my stuff… again…

It’s not a joke when I say I would lose my head if it weren’t attached to my shoulders.

It has been decades since I last lost anything... I have this standard routine: Every time before I leave the house, office, hotel, doctor... I check for keys, phone, wallet and access card; and when traveling also for passport, tickets and medicine.

Get yourself a smartphone wallet, and a smart watch that way you'll not lose your wallet or phone as much, as the watch will ring it to find it.

You just need to realise you've got bad habits and need to find a way round them.

Well if you’re me then you just replace your stuff and this time make sure you set up “find my phone” and put the blue tooth tag your dad got you months ago in your old wallet that you lost and found again because it fell out of your purse while you were sitting on your friend’s porch swing. 🥲

I almost keep my cardholder in either my center console or my purse so I have absolutely no idea what I could’ve done with it. 🥲 I called the last place I made a purchase at and they didn’t have it.

Have you tried calling your lost phone and following the ringtone?

I lose things, too!! About two years ago I bought a new pack of underwear: 5 in a pack. Since then, one ripped open on the side and 2 of the others vanished!! I also bought a bunch of sock last summer. I know there were 6 pair of one particular type and, a few months ago, one of them ran away and I haven't been able to find them since!!

time to get some of those little GPS tag things that you can just attach to your wallet, keys, phones... car, and maybe our limbs, just in case needed... lmao

but serious advice here, make it a habit... every time you move or you're on the go, just do a quick run on that list, keys, wallet, phone, all, done... keys, wallet, phone, all, done..

keep doing that till sticks in your mind, lol

yes... especially when you're on a rush, because that is distracting, you move quick, and forget stuff

also when you're multitasking... you forget things

and apparently, every time you enter a new room space, or go through a door... you can also forget things because all of the new "stimulation" and info to absorb from the new room or place, lmao

consistency though, just keep reminding yourself until it becomes a habit
