Do you hate assembling furniture or anything else?

I have purchased and put together various pieces of furniture over the years. I usually put glue in the joints for more strength. The screws or nails alone are often not enough, I had professional movers several times crossing the country while in the Navy. They would tell me that the furniture would not make it because furniture belonging to others ofter came apart. Mine always amazed them and stayed together.

Most of the furniture you buy today needs to be assembled. It's a shame they don't give better instructions on assembly.  Good luck putting that log cabin together. Lol

This is not something I do as far as furniture or anything similar. My dad browbeat me into helping him do this a couple times when I was younger. I would stand there holding a tool and my phone and hand him the tool when he asked for it, and look for excuses to go somewhere else, he stopped making me do it before long.

I'm male, so no. As a male, I love assembling all kinds of things. My brain is built for creating and building. I wouldn't pick building furniture over one of my passions like athletics or animals, but I don't think I'd ever truly dislike assembling something. Does anyone though? Maybe kids who think it's boring? But any adult, male or female, shouldn't really care too much

Well, Nikki, I bought a wooden table for my Sunroom, and the best I can say, is that it IS a TABLE, and not much more. The chairs are, too, wooden and hard to sit in easily

I'm sure Ikea makes some nice things, I guess judge each on it's own.

It can be a pain in the ass if the instructions aren’t that detailed , making you frustrated and saying fuck this lol but thank God for YouTube , cuz if you are having trouble assembling something more than likely someone else did as well, so youtube it , more Than likely it is on there lol

I ''hate'' the idea because these kits are usually not of a good and lasting quality.

Lucky me: I'm in an engineering profession with a hands-on basis. I ''designed'' -and made- some of my furniture myself.

I wouldn't even try to assemble and IKEA log cabin, but simple furniture... not a problem. We have several pieces of furniture o]in our house that I assembled, mostly without reading the instructions (I'm a typical guy!).
