Can anyone explain to me why my car is doing this. When I start it up all the lights come on as normal but the engine doesn’t start

Well, I'm not much of a mechanic, but your first step to be to try and isolate the problem; the more you can tell one, the better. You say the lights come on, but do they STAY on? Do the radio and windows work? Do they operate at full power, or weakly?

And when you turn the key, do you hear anything? I'm not sure what the different noises MEAN, but a clicking isn't the same as a rumbling, which isn't the same as silence.

That's not enough information to make any real diagnosis. It could be something as simple as a fuse, but it could also be the ignition switch, the starter motor, the brake pedal switch, or something thing else that is relatively straightforward to fix. Since you didn't hear a clicking sound, but the dash lights came on, it doesn't sound like the battery is low, but that's also possible, especially if the battery is 4 or more years old.

That could be a million different things. But it’s more than likely a dead or weak battery.
