+1 yI like to read papers that get published to scientific journals. Especially ones cited in articles that make crazy claims. I like to guess how bogus they are.
I've been trying to get into tennis, but apparently it's only for rich kids and old people who are usually also rich. 🙄
I like to make music too. Thinking about trying to make some money with it. Had a few people ask me for beats so maybe I will.
I also like to do projects. Someone will come to me with some kind of unique problem and I like finding the people and information necessary to solve it. I'm really good at putting stuff together like that.
I was ranked really high in call. Of duty mobile (on the phone) so now I'm trying to see how far I can get in modern warfare 2 on my brother's Xbox.
By the way, is a 25ms ping slow? I feel like I'm getting lagging behind some of the players and it really makes me want to throw the Xbox out the window.
Girls are another hobby but I put that on pause for a while. This guy is down for maintenance.

That's quite a bit of hobbies, how much time do you have to spare that you picked up so many hobbies, that's pretty wild
- +1 y
Of course, I can't do all of them every day, but yea, I try to make the most out of my time.
It's funny you ask because I work 6 days a week right now ๐ - +1 y
So with one day off you manage to have several hobbies, cool lol
- +1 y
Yea, I'll usually spend the morning on here and working on projects. Right now I'm putting together a setup for a business that wants to switch their menu boards to TV screens so it's taken a lot more research than I thought. I'm also writing a script for something that I'm hoping to start shooting in January. I'll have to take days off for that.
I like to read articles and stuff through the day. So that's usually how I end up finding new papers. I usually only read 1 or two a week and most of the time they're less than 20 pages. Someone like me can usually only read the shorter ones because of all the stuff you have to look up just to understand them.
Meet up with my brother after work, or go to a bar with some friends. Play come Xbox. Usually call of duty or madden.
Still trying to figure tennis out ๐ probably not gonna start that again till spring. - +1 y
Well no one can tell you that you aren't living your life lol
- +1 y
My only fear in life is having regrets and I figure the only reason to have regrets is if you're not always trying your best to do right by you, the people around you and your pursuit of finding happiness.
- +1 y
Yea I see what you mean, regrets are living in your past tho, if you are moving forward properly then you won't have time to regret but maybe I'm wrong lol
- +1 y
You're probably right, but I like to think of it more like what can I do today right now to bring me closer to my goals. Also I just have a lot of energy and curisoty
- +1 y
Ever thought of maybe slowing down to think
- +1 y
I do. I'll take little breaks through the day to kind of ask myself "what are you doing?" and reflect on stuff or remind myself why I'm foi. G all the things I'm doing. Sort of re-prioritise things.
And every so often I'll spend a night to take a walk or a drive somewhere quiet and kind of meditate.
The reason I can do so many things and still stay focused on my big goals in life is largely because I can make decisions quickly and decisively and I can do that because I have a good framework.
I know what my goals are, what I need to hit all the milestones and I make sure to check my progress.
When you know what your priorities are, knowing what to do feels almost obvious.

Haha!
It's been a long time since I've heard that one!
Love it!
An in-depth analysis will take some time, but I would sum things up by saying that its rhythm is reminiscent of the windshield wipers on a particular vintage Volvo automobile.

First time I ever heard it was in a Fiat.
What about this one? Watch out for those pink dots!! Mars wants your women, NOT your guitars!!

Thin Red Line didn't immediately click in my head, but as soon as it started playing, I was pretty sure it was you, then I remembered the name.
Cool tune!
It reminds me somewhat of Iron Butterfly. - +1 y
Thin White Line. Thin Red Line (or, was it, Blue?) is where Bob got the idea for the name of the band. He was reading it and, at the same time, saw the Talking Heads video, "Burning Down The House" with the white lines on the road going through David Byrne's mouth. He put the two together and got Thin White Line.
Thanks!
Really? Which track? - +1 y
@FunkyMonkee
Ya got me!
I was looking at about ten different things at once when I typed out Thin Red Line.
I even looked at it afterwards and thought that it looked weird, but still left it. Ha-ha!
Iron Butterfly?
I don't know. Just kind of a general feeling.
I don't know anywhere near the amount of music that you seem to know of.
I put In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida on the platter and gave it a spin.
First Side, Track 4, Termination had a little bit of similar flavor to me, not a copy, just some elements that struck a chord with me when I heard your song.
You know you told me about TREET on another question?
I asked my wife to get some.
She said she hasn't seen it in our town since we were kids in the 60s.
I've never seen it.
I did find it on Amazon for freakin' $8 a can, or $25 for 12 cans.
- +1 y
I see!! I'll have to give it a listen, again. It's been decades since I last heard it.
Hmmm, that's strange!! It's usually right next to the Spam! They have something quite similar at Aldi. Although It's not Treet, it's pretty much as good. I forget who makes Spam but, I'm pretty sure Armour makes Treet.
Wow!! Last I saw it, it was about $3.00 a can. If had to pick twixt those two prices, I'd go for the dozen!! Just over $2.00 a can!
Prices are up all over the place, thanks to the sniffer in chief!! Last week, I had to pay over $7.00 for a tube of toothpaste that probably won't even last me a month! It SHOULD only be about $3.00 a tube!! They had double packs for under $5.00 2 months ago!! And those would last me at least 3 months per tube!! Last time I tried to buy one of those, they were more than double the price!!

Switch/PC - Switch for Pokemon, PC for the rest.
- +1 y
So you bought a switch just for Pokรฉmon?
- +1 y
Well other Nintendo games as well but Pokemon is probably my favorite. Plus it's portable so now I play The Bingind of the Isaac on the go, or at least, I did.
- +1 y
I figured you had more games, doesn't hurt to ask tho for clarification lol
- +1 y
I mean I do know one person who basically has it just for Mario Kart and Pokemon. Lmao. So, it's a fair question.

I bought a pc just for gta with mods so there's that, I have more games now but what gave me the push to buy the pc was gta lol

116 Reply- +1 y
Got any worth an eye? Lol
- +1 y
At least an eye tooth. Beatles Christmas Album, worth at least $100, "Two Virgins" worth at least $50 @. (I've got 2 copies!). A couple 78's worth at least $50 @ and another worth about $100. I've got just over 60,000 so, I'm sure there's a small fortune in there, somewhere.
- +1 y
Let me ask you something, have you ever found a valuable record at a thrift shop, cause they have isles full of records sometimes
- +1 y
I've picked up quite a few at thrift shops over the decades but, I hardly ever check on how much they're worth but, I might've picked up a few treasures that way. I know a friend of mine that owned a huge used record store had a sidewalk sale one day about 20 years ago. All 45's, thousands of them!! 25 cents @!! I spent a few hours going through them and grabbed a couple hundred, I think. One turned out to be a $50 record!! Not bad for a 25 cent purchase!!
- +1 y
That's a crazy profit rate if you were to sell it, cause I flip stuff so I spend a good amount of time at thrift shops and I wanted to see if the records are worth the time
- +1 y
SOMETIMES you find stuff that's worth something and, whoever threw it out didn't care enough to look but, I haven't done it much because, by the time we got a few nearby, I was already pretty much done buying records. I just don't have the room for them, anymore. Another thing that sucks about thrift stores is that they put the dam price stickers right on the playing surface and the records they are a big sloppy mess because no one bothers to keep them in order or handle them well. Although this place doesn't exactly specialize in values, this is a pretty good place to find out what they're worth. https://www.45cat.com/ For albums, 78''s and all kinds of other collectibles, use their other site, 45worls. com. You can access it at the bottom of the 45cat pages. I've only got about 12% of my collection listed there, so far.
- +1 y
Thanks for the link bro, here they mark them with marker lol
It comes off with alcohol so on most products but I can see your frustration with the stickers ๐ - +1 y
That's terrible, too!! My neighbor swears by alcohol but I'd rather not use it, at least not straight. 50% with distilled water, okay. I've heard that it can harm the vinyl by eventually drying it out. Most often, I just use mild hand soap and warm water.
- +1 y
Yea unfortunately alcohol seems to be the only thing that can take out permanent marker from most surfaces, worse crap they do is when they put permanent marker on pottery, it always leaves a stain, they do it on purpose obviously to knock off any good value it might have smh
- +1 y
I'm pretty sure they could make more money if they bothered to give a shit about how they price things. That DOES lower the value a good bit!!
- +1 y
Yea I'm sure of it, I'm also pretty sure they keep the best stuff and sell it online themselves, one of the workers at goodwill told me
- +1 y
We had a store here called, St. Vincent DePaul and, one of the ex-employees was raving about how the guy that runs the place pockets all the money they make that's SUPPOSED to be going to charity!!
- +1 y
That's messed up, that these places can do shit like this, I understand keeping the good stuff but stealing from charity will have its own natural consequence... I'm sure
- +1 y
I don't know if the stealing had anything to do with it but, that store closed up a year or two after I heard that girl saying that. I think it's an art gallery, now.
- +1 y
Lmao they tried them so hard, they made them into an art gallery ๐
- +1 y
I don't remember a time where I was in that store and there weren't at least half a dozen people in it shopping!! Sometimes, there was even a line at the check out!! Most of the time I went was just to see if I could find Delta numbers on some of the records they had.
